I am pleased with all of my interactions with United's employees, rather in person or over the phone. They are always friendly and helpful. However, I'm not pleased with some of their services. For one, my card was hacked and I didn't get an alert for suspicious activity. The purchase was made all the way in Australia...that should have be flagged from the jump. While I was talking to a rep about it, the same person tried to use it again...then an alert came thru. Their cards suppose to be protected by a reliable security to prevent fraud, so what happened here. I was told I would receive my refund on a certain day, but this morning it wasn't applied. So, I called and was told it would be the following day.

We have a joint account. I can access our funds, but I can't resolve any card issues on my husband's behalf. He has to call himself, even though now, I'm on the acct, have access to funds, have all of the personal info needed, but they can't speak to me about his card...really.

What is going on with your banking system this morning, I can't access it thru the app, over the phone, nor online. The app is refusing my login info "error accurring", the phone keeps asking for "my personal ID number", nothing I'm putting in is accepted, and online keeps asking to send an "secure code", but neither text or a phone is working. The text doesn't come thru and the phone does, but nothing is being said.

Another thing, I can't cash any checks here. Two of them (at different times) had to be placed on hold for two days. All they had to do is call and verify them with their bank, simple right. Not with this particular bank, "we can't do that", so they say. One had to be deposited and it would be on my debit card. Now, you couldn't cash the check (under $200), but you can put it in my account and then I can go to the ATM and withdraw it out...(sigh) really United. Ridiculous!!! I guess if my job check wasn't direct deposit, they would have to hold it for two days, since it doesn't say United Community Bank! Definitely looking for another bank as I type.
