DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO AVOID WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY!

** Update: the owner contacted me to see if I would remove my review if they refunded the application fees. I refused. **

I wish it were possible to rate lower than 1 star. We toured a property at the beginning of October and identified a couple of issues we wanted to make sure would be fixed before we signed a lease.

We were told: "We will absolutely make sure that the property is clean and safe when delivered to you!" and that we should fill out an application. Our application was approved (after paying $200+), and we were told that we could send in money for a security deposit to take the property off the market. This was without any sort of written agreement that the items we identified would be fixed. (Scam alert)

Two weeks go by, and radio silence. Sent multiple text messages, tried calling the office, and nobody ever answered the phone.

Finally, we get a response that "The contractor said he will be finished with the home by Friday, so you are welcome to take another walkthrough"

We took a tour that Friday evening, and literally none of the items we identified were fixed. Their response was that the "contractor" just came across these issues, which seems impossible since we brought them up weeks ago and they are obvious issues.

Thankfully we got an email saying that the property has been rented to someone else, so we don't even have to consider dealing with them ever again.

This company is a joke, I would highly recommend avoiding them at all costs.

5019 W Liberty Meadows Drive! DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY! People were literally stalking me and my family and found a detector inside the home! Jessica was UNPROFESSIONAL! MATT never wanted to speak to me but as soon as the stalker told them we moved he wants to email me and then call. Then out the blue who sends an email after trying to get in contact with her for a year? The owner! Accusing me of tv mount being missing! I paid these people $3015 a month I don’t need no tv mount! Who wants to be in a neighborhood where you’re being stalked? And accused of things when you have the proof! I had to purchase something for the water heater during Christmas $296 i provided the receipt and was told the owner did not want to compensate. These people are such a RIP OFF! Slumlords! They didn’t have no carbon monoxide detector in the home I had to purchase as well after the issue with the water heater ❌❌❌🛑🛑🛑DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I don’t even know where to begin, but I will start here. When I was looking for a home to rent I came across this company. I spoke to Jessica who met with me at the property and she seemed very nice and professional but then she started taking days and I mean days to respond to my messages then she finally got back in contact with me and I finally got approved and was able to move in. Before moving in I made sure I mentioned that they need to respond more better to say this is a business and Jessica apologized. We moved in around March and I explained I get paid on the 1st and the 3rd and Jessica said that’s totally fine so I would always make sure it’s paid by the 3rd but I would keep receiving emails from the owner Matt every month and when he emails me he like to include my son who’s a minor with special needs in the email and it’s always about extra charges because it wasn’t paid fully on the 1st after Jessica sent me a message saying I would never have that issue again well last month they took more then added it as credit on my account when I looked in the portal after Jessica said it was handled. Everytime I would email him he would tell me to email the office email as if he was trying to avoid me. I’ve also put in orders for things that need fixed and they never send anyone out the couple times they sent someone they sent out a guy to get an appraisal still no one came out. I’m disabled so my insurance covers pest control but before they send someone out they wanted to speak to someone to make sure it’s okay to send someone out but no answer as always. Clint answers whenever and when he does he seems so lost like he’s just there to talk slow! I’m going to leave my email so those who can give me their story. I’m curious to know if the owners of this home knows what’s going on. I literally pay $2995+$9.99 a month and it’s so not worth it! STAY FAR AWAY!!!! I’ll rather you stay in your car than to rent from these people! Update post at the top! 🔝

I enjoyed renting from True Blue during my time at the College of Charleston. The apartment we were in was also great and an awesome college apartment. They took good care of us and were always timely with any maintenance requests we put in. I would recommend them to anyone looking to rent from a small, locally owned business.

My Aunt is 81 years old this company told her she was approved set up a log in took her deposit of 2300 plus dollars and then told her she was not approved and has not given her the deposit back again. Now my old aunt will have to spend money to get her money back. Do not mess with this company and they don't answer their phone this is a shame

The people at True Blue Home Rentals have been absolutely AMAZING to me and my family. Jessica Bush was SO attentative to my list of needs and helped me check everyone of them off the list. I felt like she truly cared and personally invested herself in my home hunting needs. Not to mention that due to my personal circumstances, I was in a rush to relocate and Jessica pulled some magic strings and BOOM!!!! My relocating problems were instantly solved. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with True Blue, and how wonderful the employees appear to be, thanks to Jessica. If the other employees are even half as professional, considerate, understanding and downright pleasant as Jessica, then I can guarantee that YOU TOO, will be a very satisfied True Blue tenant, or owner.
