Update from my last review using my personal email in response to the companies response : Here’s the updated response focusing on Somer:

To clarify, my name is Dominique ā€œDomā€ Dotson, and I’m not using any false names or identities to post reviews. I use several email accounts and left additional reviews to ensure others are aware of my experience with Somer. When I sought advice from local real estate groups in the Greenville area, they confirmed that Somer’s property management is family-operated, which makes it challenging to reach anyone in charge. You can see comments about this in the Greenville Professionals Group and other local real estate forums.

Additionally, I have multiple recordings of interactions with Somer, where she mocked and mistreated me as a tenant. If anyone needs these recordings or information about Somer, please feel free to reach out.

For context: the property was in poor condition when I moved in, with filthy carpet and multiple marks on the walls. Somer wouldn’t know what the property looked like, however, as she never stepped foot into the home to assess maintenance needs after taking over. Despite us being tenants for three years, Somer made no effort to meet us or inspect the property, and she never came by to fix anything or become familiar with the home’s condition.

Regarding her mention of tobacco or spit in the home, that was false information; we don’t smoke, and any such residue was there before we moved in. The property was not left in ā€œhorrible conditionā€ as suggested. While we do have small children (ages five and two), meaning the home wasn’t in perfect condition, ā€œhorrible conditionā€ would include severe issues such as major structural damage, extensive uncleanliness, or hoarding-level clutter. In reality, this was simply a well-used home, already in poor shape when we moved in.

Regarding the neighbor mentioned, I want to clarify that I don’t know much about her personally. Her mother once apologized to me, explaining that her daughter had mental health issues, so I’m not sure what might have been discussed between her and Somer or the details of their situation. Hopefully, she is doing well, but I’ve had no issues with any of my other neighbors during my stay since 2021. In fact, I have positive relationships with them and can provide their contact numbers if anyone has questions.

On a related note, we received an eviction notice during a time when we were sick with COVID, even though we were approved to receive financial help through SHARE. Despite having a letter from SHARE confirming they would cover our rent, Somer still proceeded with the eviction notice until the payment arrived.

Finally, I have a complete folder documenting my experience with Somer, including notes on the property’s condition when we moved in , neighbor interactions, and other details. I took pictures and videos before leaving and would be glad to see any pictures Somer has of the alleged issues. I hope this review helps anyone considering working with her.

I’ve written a post about this company some time back about the kindness and love they show their customers and clients. Still truly to this day I’m amazed everyone and everything is just that. Loving and understanding very kind you almost feel like family I’m not joking, there was a time truly I say to everyone that reads this post I’ve had two back surgery and I’ve never stopped working but at one point I wanted to give up no matter how hard I work I couldn’t get a break. I went back to work after my first back surgery and broke my lower lumbar again I thought everything was over. Coming from Miami to give my sons a better life I’m a man a father of great faith through all my hardships I never gave up I say this very truthfully I never had a home or house of my own no yard to play just very bad senseless crime and violence so I asked my lord please hear my voice please fix me and take me away from this place and he did. Coming here to start over and having a great job I still continue to work very hard to Ensure integrity, a sense of wellness in my children lives. So I kept my faith and kept praying for a home believing that one day he will answer and he did he really did I’m not Promoting anything Tinsley realty company answered my prayers I have a lovely home and for the price of a one bedroom apartment in Miami Florida. They understood we go through very difficult times and situations and they are willing to help us when needed. There very rarely Companies or entities. They will understand your situation and willing to work with you. Again I gain nothing from this by telling the truth if you’re ever in a situation, when you feel like all of your dreams, have failed keep your faith and understand there are those out there willing to make dreams come true to help you with no one else could never say no but to give you a chance to fulfill your dreams and feel the dreams of your love ones this message is a true story. I think them all their kindness and love for the Roberts and family. I told everyone please don’t give up keep your faith in the ever looking for property I would give them a call first it would be the best choice you’ll Ever make God bless everyone From the Robinson home

It is with sincerity and an obligation to integrity that I feel compelled to share my experience as a former tenant under Somer’s property management. Unfortunately, my experience highlights significant concerns regarding tenant treatment, property upkeep, and communication. All was well at first until, I begin having numerous needs due to the building being old. My aim here is to be both factual and constructive, hoping it may lead to positive change in the future.

Firstly, as a tenant, it’s reasonable to expect safe and habitable living conditions. The unit I resided in suffered from structural concerns, including a tarped roof in my bedroom that allowed moisture to accumulate, resulting in an odor that affected the air quality and livability. This condition presented potential health risks, yet my requests for prompt repair were often met with disregard. Under South Carolina law (S.C. Code Ann. § 27-40-440), landlords are required to maintain fit and habitable premises, and to make necessary repairs to keep the property safe. When such basic expectations are not met, it reflects a concerning negligence towards tenant welfare.

Furthermore, respectful and honest communication is essential in any landlord-tenant relationship. However, my interactions with Somer often felt dismissive and demeaning. Scripture calls us to treat others with kindness and compassion: ā€œDo unto others as you would have them do unto youā€ (Luke 6:31). No tenant should feel belittled or ridiculed for simply requesting that maintenance be handled or for seeking assistance with essential needs.

While I have personally reported my concerns to the Better Business Bureau, my experience appears to align with that of other tenants, indicating a pattern. I encourage others who may have had similar experiences to consider reporting as well, as constructive feedback and accountability can foster better business practices.

In closing, I hope that this feedback inspires reflection and improvement. Kindness and honesty in business are fundamental to a thriving community. May this be an opportunity for Somer and her management to consider more compassionate and lawful approaches in property management. In the meantime I suggest anyone to find someone else to rent from until she fixes her self & her team. I've attached other comments I found ..... I can agree with these reviews from my own experience with SOMER. The ladies that work with her are not the same .

My friend Lindsey recommended Tinsley. My girlfriend and I have been renting from them for years now. They are AWESOME. They seem like very nice people but went to apply for a 4BR 2 1/2 bath home they were offering. I’m a single father with one child over 18. They told me that my child needs to make 3x the rent for us to move in. There is no way a Child living with their parent should have to make the same amount of money. They did provide valuable information to help me get another place. Just disagree with child have to make 3x rent

Great experience renting from Tinsley. They were nice, responsive, flexible, the place I rented was very nice. I had a issue with the AC and the sent a couple guys immediately that day.
