We have lived in this apartment for about 4 years.
Within those 4 years, the management has changed like 10 times, and at times didn’t even have anyone physically in the office OR a working phone number.
3 weeks ago, our AC unit went out. And for 3 weeks, I have been on the phone nearly every single day trying to get updates on my apartment that I have never had a late rent payment on.
I either get a runaround of “the repairman said he will be here this day, and if not this day then that day,” Or I am forwarded to voicemail. I even texted the current number and it shows up as an iPhone / iMessage so I know it’s a legitimate number, that I am ignored with. There was one day where I called in the morning, was told someone would be there that same day, then she left the office to go home an hour early without updating me. Refused to give me the repairman’s number using excuses like “we have to hire people outside of us because we don’t have a maintenance team hired yet” (not sure how that’s even possible lol, I pay for maintenance in my rent every single month yet never get maintenance out here)
FINALLY, after two weeks of waiting on the office, someone came out, looked at my AC for 5 minutes then said they would have to tell the office that an electrician will need to be out to replace a unit.
(When I allowed the repairmen into my apartment they had called the office back and I overheard them making jokes at my expense because I didn’t hear them at the door, and were saying things like “they’re not dead after all!!” Which is incredibly hurtful to me, because they’re not the ones who have their disabilities PCOS + eczema flare up and get 10x worse in this Alabama heat, they’re not the ones who work night shifts and long hours and come home not being able to sleep because the apartment is so hot, their pets aren’t the ones suffering in this weather, the humidity isn’t affecting their apartment, for what has been half a month at this point. Yeah, the ‘dead’ jokes aren’t really all that funny, and sorry I didn’t hear you knocking right away because I had 4 high power fans and 2 TVs running all at the same time, after we granted the office to either make sure you use the doorbell so we can hear you OR give you access to enter our apartment if we can’t come to the door.)
We were told an electrician should come out either yesterday (to nobody’s surprise, nobody showed up) or today. I called at 11AM this morning asking for an update on an electrician. (INCREDIBLY unprofessional that I have to keep calling for updates that the management should be responsible in giving me without me needing to call and nag)
She said she would call them to find out an ETA.
It’s been 2 hours, I have called several times and my husband has gone up to the office, and nobody is there. Nothing on the door says anything about being away or taking a lunch, nothing in our emails has been sent to update us on anything, she hasn’t called me back about their ETA, so I’m assuming it will be another month until somebody comes out to give me the next excuse as to why my AC still isn’t fixed. It will be almost a month without air and I’m over the constant excuses. It’s a Friday today, and the office won’t be open for the weekend, so if the electrician that I was told should be here yesterday doesn’t come today, that’s yet another 3 days we have to go without air at the management’s expense, and another 3 days that our pets and us will be miserable.

The price is ridiculous for these apartments! It’s not worth it! Now they are threatening to take legally action because I’m a few days behind rent but maintenance have came to my home, saw the issues I am having and never fixed anything! Never came back! I have a slow leak in the tub. My a/c unit is old and leaking (maintenance is aware) but never fixed the issue. My vent has fallen in, in both bedrooms! Plumbing is horrible. Never had an inspection or saw pest control ever my entire 3 years of living here! The balcony is unstable and unsafe! Grass is rarely cut. This entire complex needs a rebuild! Pool hasn’t been open at all this year and I’ve recently had a lizard run across my food in my bathroom. So terrifying!!! They are only concerned with getting their money.

I moved on Nov 11th. Stay the 1st night Nov 12th and it's been hell ever since. I did not know roaches still exists in 2022. Then the hot water only lasts 5 mins, so I have to take jail showers which jump in & jump out not to mention the tub holds water. People wonder why I pay so much to live in a nice neighborhood well it's worth it. All my years of renting I have not had to deal with roaches, and I am over it. Freezer has rust on the racks the unit I move in stinks I'm assuming the previous renter was nasty and had a dog.

The bowl back up is coming up thru shower & they except me to clean after they leave messes like this not to mention the things of mines that has been damaged. I will be seeking a class action lawsuit if I’m not contacted by someone other than Allison. Tammy is who I was informed I need to speak with it she doesn’t answer

this was a nightmare. this was how I was forced to live from Dec5- Jan 26. During that time, it got fixed once. And then no one came back out to take a look. I called SEVERAL times, but no one will answer the phones. I tried to email, and it took me threating a lawyer for her to finally respond. It also took a lawyer for them to FINALLY give me an early lease termination. ROACHES are SO bad; you will kill one everyday!!!! The people are NASTY. Dumpsters are also overstuffed and smell! Summertime you will hear and be very close to gun fire from the night club nearby. The amount of homeless people walking around is scary. And I STILL HAVENT RECEIVED MY SECERITY DEPOSITE YET!!!!!!!!!!!! it's been 81 days now and NOONE will respond to any form of contact!!!!!!!!!! DONT NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!

This property has gone through four property management companies and l0 different leasing agents in the past 4 years I’ve lived here. Plumbing is horrible my bedroom ceiling has had a water stain on it for the past 4 months from the upstairs toilet leaking. These apartments aren’t truly renovated and not worth the money charged to live here. I’ve had mice in my apartment I pay for pest control I’ve only see twice since I’ve been in the new apartment and I work from home. The trash dumpster is horrible. The leasing agent is rude and very unprofessional. She has been in an altercation with a resident using profanity and called the residents mother names. I’m over this property and would not recommend anyone to come live here!

I truly hates my living experience at Timberchase. The best thing about my time was the distance from my job. The rooms were too small. We had our vehicle broken into. Repairs needed that went undone. And every step my neighbors made we heard. Prices constantly went up with no changes made. I felt unsafe and unsupported. When it rained, it rained in my apartment and nothing was ever done about it. Sad thing about that is I lived on the first floor and reported it multiple times. The courtesy officer did nothing regarding safety or noise cause we constantly had reported issues. When I moved out I checked multiple times for a balance to make sure no charges were made. I get an email at work in the middle of the month alerting me they are charging me for moving out and it will go to collections 10 days later. How do you send a bill to collections 10 days after making it? And I never paid my rent late or had any reason to have something sent to collections by them. And to have the audacity to bill me without formal notification was totally unprofessional but this is what you get with them.

From day one I have had problems from mailbox issues to plumbing and the biggest in the he middle of summer air conditioning my apartment never drop below 80 degrees ever ...they sent the maintenance guy several times and he could not figure out the problem. My very first bill was over $300 and then the second and by the third it was up to $500 and I'm paying full rent ..so after changing management and getting it fixed 7 months later after I have had to heat up my home with a stove ... After a real expert was called he told me to never leave the unit on it burn the building down so after all this and still paying rent on time I'm being told the credit I was given needs to be refunded...but no one will say why it took 7 months to repair my problem and now they want me to leave I got that in a letter today... I'm wondering if anyone else was asked who comes and goes to their home as if the are a criminal...or the Manager Jenn is Racist !! beware there was another tenant who's light bill got up to $700 so keep records but if you come here and Jenn is here run she is liar her favorite line is I'm trying to help you...if you were trying to help do your job and find the paperwork that was given to your employee because I have proof I sent it why don't you manager?
