If you're looking for a place that feels like home, The Oaks is it. Three things that set The Oaks apart from other rentals are:

1. Cleanliness. Our apartment was very clean when we moved in which was very appreciated.

2. Safety. We have always felt comfortable in our apartment building.

3. Community. The management is very nice and we have had food drives, Christmas decorating contests, pet spotlights of the week, and they even leave donuts in the lobby for us occasionally.

I start my lease soon but I got a tour and the environment feels very safe!! My landlord now is never in her office and takes forever to respond to people’s problems and concerns. I’ve met with Kasey and she seems very diligent in her work and is very nice to talk with! She was very welcoming to me as I signed my lease. Can’t wait to call this place my new home😊

Very nice and cozy place to call home. I’ve rented at the oaks for 2 years to be closer to my school nearby. It’s a great place with super kind people. I loved my time so much.

The only issue I wish would change is response time from the landlord. I have found myself often calling, leaving voicemails, and texting about important questions needing answering…but I wouldn’t get replies until a couple days or weeks later…and it all ended up being stressful and kinda disappointing at the same time.

Now I do think the landlord is very nice and is a great individual. I just wish they could at least make a note to get back to tenants a bit faster.

My boyfriend and I moved into the Oaks this March and absolutely love it! The apartment was clean and move in ready, and the environment here feels so safe! Management keeps it very clean and Kasey is always quick to respond!

We've had a great experience with The Oaks. When we moved in, our apartment was clean and well maintained. It is a safe environment, and the management has always been kind, welcoming, and easy to communicate with.

Moved out in May and am still waiting for my deposit refund. Have had to reach out several times to management and am given a different excuse and story each time about why I’ll need to continue to wait. Very unprofessional and unwilling to actually help it feels like. It’s almost like they want me to forget about it and stop bothering them for it. Beware!

UPDATE:
I still did not receive a full refund as promised. Management here is terrible and they WILL take your money. I am currently getting legal advice for damages now because they have violated South Dakota state renters rights. I am a Navy veteran who lived here while using my GI Bill and have been taken advantage of. No one has reached out to explain why I did not recieve a full refund.

Do not rent from them. They will not return your deposit and will blow you off and make you sue them and report them to state. My sons leased from them and moved out in MAY..... they still have not received their full refund back and have called too many times to list. I called and spoke with Danielle Harless and she promised to pay and never delivered in full! She has dropped the ball and will not return Emails or phone calls.....The company should be ashamed of playing games with a U.S.Vet and NOT returning his deposit!!!! SHAME ON YOU DANIELLE Harless and THE OAKS.....
