The McClaren West End, A Standout Living Experience
Living at The McClaren West End has been an incredible experience for my wife and me, and a major reason for that is the phenomenal staff. From the moment we moved in, Carlos, Luz, Sylvian, Ashley, and Roxanna have gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and truly at home. Their warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness set The McClaren apart from other communities in Greenville.

One recent example speaks volumes: we were away on a two-week trip, and without hesitation, Ashley stepped in to not only keep an eye on our apartment but also make sure our puppy was taken care of during the day. That kind of genuine care and personal touch is rare, and it's what makes this place feel like more than just a place to live—it's a community.

When we first moved in, the spa area was in need of repairs. Instead of brushing off resident concerns, the team listened, took action, and got it back up and running. That responsiveness speaks to how much the staff care about the resident experience.

Now, it’s true—The McClaren doesn’t offer free coffee or tea in the lobby like some other places. But honestly, that’s a minor trade-off considering what it does offer: an in-complex coffee house, which is a game-changer, and a top-tier valet service that adds luxury and convenience to our daily lives. Those features more than make up for the lack of complimentary beverages.

Yes, like any apartment complex, The McClaren isn’t perfect. There will always be occasional repairs or maintenance needs. But what sets this community apart is how those issues are handled—with urgency, care, and attention to detail. Lighthouse Living has done an exceptional job positioning The McClaren as one of Greenville’s premier residential communities.

To the entire staff—keep up the great work. You’re the heartbeat of this place, and we’re grateful to call The McClaren home.

The McClaren West End is an exceptional, high-end apartment complex new to Downtown Greenville. Upscale accommodation meets the warmth of an inviting community. “Excellence” is felt at every turn when you experience The McClaren first hand. From their innovative design, spacious, modern rooms — to the warmth and embrace of the staff, it is clear that there has been much intention and heart put into the McClaren from start to finish. The on-site staff; Sylvain, Luz, Laurie and Ashley, are beyond kind, helpful and the type of people you want taking care of the place you call “home”. While we were there touring, we had the chance to meet the Owner, David and the Director of Business Development, Michelle. Through our first encounter with both of them, it was evident that David and Michelle care deeply about creating a luxurious, yet warm atmosphere at the McClaren. Michelle took time out of her busy day to show us around, tell us more about the apartment and make us feel like we were already apart of the incredible community.

Would recommend the McClaren to anyone looking for an upscale apartment community in the heart of downtown Greenville with a resort like feel — through the upscale design, luxurious amenities and thoughtful care of the staff, you’ll feel like you’re on vacation every time you come home. The bar has just been raised even higher for luxury apartment communities in Downtown Greenville. It’s the full package. Well done, The McClaren!

To say that the McClaren has incredible customer service wouldn’t even scratch the surface of my experience. The level of care that staff members have demonstrated for the residents exeeds even the highest business standards. The maintenance, parking and office staff get to know each resident by name and will quickly become some of the friendliest and most dependable faces around. There is a culture at the McClaren that makes it a genuinely welcoming community, and a joy to be a part of.

Not to mention the stunning interiors, convenience to Falls Park and downtown, no pet fees, and amenities the complex offers, the McLaren is set apart. My pet bunny and I are living our best life in the cutest studio (he loves napping in the oversized window sill... see for yourself🐰), and I will not be moving anytime soon!

The McClaren is easily the best place to live in Downtown Greenville. I would highly recommend!

The McClaren West End is OG upscale resort living nicer than anything I had back in California. These apartments are nicer than most condos. I snagged a ton of pics to show-off the place to friends.
Everything is brand new and thoughtfully designed. Love the roomy apartments themselves as well as the location, views, pool, workout area, cafĂŠ, and lounges.

The McClaren is the place to be!
The staff and location are my favorite things about living at the McClaren.
The staff at the McClaren have been very welcoming - from making sure all our questions were answered while checking it out from out of state to their friendly greetings and the events they host for tenants. They are truly interested in making our experience at the McClaren exceptional.
Walking to anything downtown, Unity Park and beyond is very easy and enjoyable. The valet parking is a great feature - excellent staff and very convenient.

Our family has lived at the Mcclaren for 4 months now. We truly love living here. No large apartment complex is without issues, but the Mcclaren staff work efficiently to solve maintenance issues and make living here better. We have met many friends (staff and residents) and the sense of community is really nice. The community events are fun and creative, and often times have good food.

I have toured other luxury apartments within walking distance and really happy I chose the Mcclaren. The gym is new and clean, we use the Lulu lemon mirror and tonal machines weekly. When I remember to use the massage chair it has been available. The community workspace is convenient (a little loud since it’s the lobby but I wear headphones and it’s fine). When I’m too tired to make coffee in my unit I can grab something quick from junto coffee. The valet trash is convenient and I use it daily. My dog is treated like royalty here, every time the staff see him they give him good boy pets and treats.

The valet is attentive and hasn’t been inconvenient for me.

Management is receptive to ideas and comments about making living here better— adding mirrors to the gym, wagons for grocery hauls, etc. you just need to ask and email nicely! They work tirelessly to make sure you have the luxury experience you pay for.

District west gym smelled like feet, Rhett had outdated amenities and no community workspace. Rhett community event included sugar cookies in the leasing office with a keurig lol no thx. I’ve read other reviews at apartments that are frustrated with slow maintenance but the 2 requests I put in were addressed same day at the Mcclaren.

The location is amazing for walking to unity park and downtown. I love being on the edge of downtown bc I don’t deal with road closures for big events and parades.

Some annoying and odd things about the build: no garbage disposal, picking out food every time you cook— it gets old.
No air vents (heating/cooling) or fan in the bathrooms— concerned for mold risk over a period of years, I had to buy a heater, dehumidifier and air purifier for each bathroom. No shelving or drawers in the bathroom— only under cabinet sink space, bought 1000$ worth of shelves for closets and bathroom. No insulation in the exterior walls— most contractors I’ve talked to think that is simply a mistake during the build during Covid years (our heating bill for a 3 bedroom was 300$ per month in the winter). Washer and dryer are too small, dryer takes 2+ hours for half load of laundry (this is likely contributing to high energy bill as well). This is mostly for feedback for the builders/corporate, the management and maintenance team didn’t build the apartment complex lol the residents can tell corners were cut

Great high-end place to rent walking distance of the beautiful downtown Greenville, SC, I was given a tour of the place by a kind lady Luz Adriana. She was able to show us many options, amenities like the gym, swimming pool, lounge and the play room, they allow us to play there with our kids for at least half hour and get to experience the positive opportunities the apartment building offers.
It’s important when you have a strong and kind management behind your place of living, you should have peace of mind if there’s positive support when it comes to any issues.

I strongly recommend this place to explore in your search if you are renting, the building is modern, sophisticated with a luxurious atmosphere you’ll fall in love with.
