I’ve been living at the Knox for almost half a year now, and have been loving it! The common areas are clean, the staff is nice, and the apartment was bigger than I thought it was. Haven’t had any issues!

Absolutely ridiculous that we had over a 500 dollar bill 3 months after moving out including outrageous charge for the mattress which was in the exact same shape as when moved in. No one replied to our email when we tried to question this charge. If you live here, I absolutely recommend you do your walk through with a staff member so charges can be disputed. The video evidence of a perfectly fine mattress at move out is apparently not substantial enough to dispute the bill. After paying two years of rent on time, the Knox sent us to a National Credit System one month after sending us the ridiculous charges.

This place absolutely sucks. The last year that I lived there, the bridges were completely shut down which made it difficult for the residents to get on the Laurel side, parking garage, etc. Then 2 months after I moved out they gave me ridiculous charges which weren’t even my fault. I can not believe that this place had the audacity to send me charges after the bridges were shut down, elevators hardly ever worked, and on top of all that the parking garage is terrible and overpriced. I would not recommend living here to anybody. Ridiculous and overpriced! They don’t care about their residents at all!

Very disappointed. After being moved out for 3 months got a bill of $500 for normal wear and tear. I cleaned my room and spoke to the office regarding holes on the wall from hanging stuff. Was told not to worry about it and then got charged lots of money. In addition I had maintance come look at my dresser multiple times during the year and they ensured me I would not get charged for the dresser and the drawer would pop on and off due to them being cheap. I got charged $150 in just damage to the dresser. Not right. I tried to call and email them but no answer or luck. I recommend you stay away or be prepared to get a lawyer!

The Knox is a beautiful environment with excellent views, an engaged staff and hidden value not visible from street level.

The energy, the space, and the community is tops. It also has great outdoor features if you like to barbecue or, perhaps, you might enjoy relaxing by the pool after class.

Kind staff. Nice place to live. Plenty of amenities included in the rent. Monthly events. Ten minute walk to the strip. Not enough parking. Only 1 building with trash chutes.

We toured this beautiful property when visiting our daughter, Caitlin, at UTK for Parents Weekend. The staff were friendly, helpful, patient, thorough and did a great job answering our questions and giving us a tour. My daughter and her friends hope to live at The Knox next year!

Absolutely wonderful location. However, this is my third year living here and the company is just very unethical. We pay so, so much money to live here. Right now 3/4 of the bridges are down, causing people to have to walk strange routes to get to their parking and rooms on the Laurel side. The fact that they have not done a single thing to make up for that is crazy and wrong. It takes me at least double the time to get to my car. Even if they took $20 off of rent a month (absolutely nothing compared to the 1200 or so I pay for my room parking and electricity), at least it would be something. Our rent not only goes towards our room but also all of the amenities. If anyone has a room or parking spot on the Laurel side it is only ethical to compensate tenants for the non-usable bridges and extra time and distance we now have to go.
