The buildings are beautiful HOWEVER that does not overcompensate for the lifestyle living here. Sure, constant construction which is to be expected. However, they’ve now started building right in front of the entrance gate which causes huge traffic jams and near accidents literally anytime you want you enter or leave the community. Also, the construction staff is extremely unprofessional. 1. Yesterday, a construction guy literally heckled at me as I was trying to enter. And even remembered my vehicle as I was leaving hours later and trying to flag me down in the middle of the street yelling “hey beautiful, hey gorgeous, oh you not going to talk to me”. This is very concerning. 2. As if dealing with the loud construction isn’t enough, the construction workers are currently(as I type this) playing very loud music that can be heard from streets over (I live 2 streets away and still hear every lyric.

On top of that, there is no designated parking areas for cars so cars will park up and down the street and right by the stop sign making it very difficult at times to even drive through the neighborhood.

People have no respect for others and will play loud music at the pool. One guy even put his freaking kayak in the pool.

Garbage cans constantly permanently housed at the end of peoples driveway despite it not be trash pickup day (Thursday).

Tip: for all the construction you’re doing, perhaps you should build a sidewalk for the kids to safely walk when getting on/off the school bus at the entrance gate. Instead children are nearly hit daily from construction works and traffic trying to negotiate all the debris the construction workers leave in the street.

I could go on, but after 1 month here, I’m already planning to move when my lease it up.

Terrible experience with Meritage Homes. Within 3 months of moving in, our house flooded with sewage due to a blocked drain pipe caused by poor backfilling during construction. The entire first floor was destroyed, and our entire home became a construction zone for 30+ days. We couldn’t live in the house, endured severe stress, and received zero compensation. People who I'm dealing with were nice, they just work here, good people, this is the only reason I'm giving 1 STAR instead of negative -5, but the management and corporate level is terrible, none existed.

After 9 months and a demand letter, still no response from Meritage. Now, some other home owners and their lawyers has reached out about a class-action lawsuit, and I’m preparing to take further legal action. I’m not recommending this builder.
