The manager name Saxton, Sherronda is doing a marvelous job here she cares she fixing things right she’s the hardest manager we ever had here. She’s showing more improvement in this building than any other manager. Did she’s doing a excellent job here.

My husband and I had considered getting more information about Stonepointe 55+; but I decided to read the reviews first. I appreciate Dena Newman for giving an extensive review. Based on it, we will not look any further at this establishment. It's not just her review though; but the others as well. I believe there is some validity in it, as I am hearing much of the same in the so-called "affordable" senior housing units. They look pretty; but that's where it all stops. How can you require tenants to live on limited income and continuously go up on the rent? Makes no sense! I don't blame the management wholly because you're just doing your job. You have to respond in a pleasant manner; and I know there's only so much you can do. I blame those in 'higher' places, whomever they may be. Unfortunately, in our monetary society where cash is king, you do "get what you pay for". Truly caring about the well-being of humans is all a smoke screen, I hate to say and even believe.

I was so excited when my grandfather found this place. He is a Boomer and still independent. The property is amazing! We have been able to have family cook outs in the court yard. I was devastated when they decided to increase his rent. I was even more devastated when they increased his rent again six months later almost $500. My grandfather like many living in this building are on fixed incomes. He moved here with the understanding that this property was for seniors and under HUD. And he had be certified with a certain income to even put in an application according to HUD’s guidelines. But some kind of way, the building is under someone else. I am a grant writer and recipient. To me that sounds like they built the property under the guise of senior living and changed their minds. It is unfortunate. It’s unfortunate that the tenants here continue to experience housing insecurity at the hands of greedy people. Who will speak out and stand up for our seniors! They have put in much work and deserve to not have to worry about where to live. Please remove senior living off of your marketing! You are not for seniors!

Car break ins everyday and no security, someone is gonna get hurt and it's gonna be on y'all's hands.Rent has went up several times since I've been here.Door # 126 smokes crack on his porch and it lingers around,door # 306 has a dog that constantly barks and disturbes everyone and Shawanda in the office has an attitude and needs to leave before someone hurts her.Break ins been reported since I've been here and the owners here DO NOT CARE to this very day.Consider moving to another senior living around the corner

My experience overall has been very good, but not without a few issues. Most importantly for me is comfort. No smoking/security and only annual rent increases. No worrying or stress triggers based on economic factors. Senior Living comes with these benefits for you to call a place home when you have worked and paid your dues in society. Aging has its challenges in your health disparities, medicine cost and wellness as it is.

Well, things have changed since my last post, which I mentioned a few issues. In June my rent increased in the middle of my lease after increasing at my 2nd lease renewal. So many people have moved out, some of us have complained to management, wrote letters to both corporate and other resources. We received push back from management/ mediocre response from corporate and more unpleasant and contradictory responses to include retaliation from management.

We were informed two month after you signed your annual lease for a 2nd year with a rent increase. A additional increase would happen six months into your lease, and get this:
If you do not agree with the increase you could be released out of your lease and move. What We were extremely taking back, because the new increases from HUD were not out yet. So the anticipating increase was estimated.
Seniors, be aware that everything that looks good is not always good.

The beautification is great. This may be the best for some people. It depends on what you are accustomed to. I thought this was a great place to live, nothing is perfect, but safety is and never did I think asking questions would result in retaliation for a company who want to be the number one Senior property Developer in the United States. I thought for sure that the beauty and designed & reasonable rent was finally a Faith of corporate responsibility for Seniors who are aging on fixed incomes. Affordable housing, tax credit etc.

Rent increase going up in the middle of my lease is not acceptable. Not having security for seniors is a major issue. Car breaking is everywhere, but security enforced will help. No, this not all, but these two are urgent. Our only solution is to move! Well—Pay for packing, relocation and deposit returned ‼️‼️‼️. Ask a senior who is 80 years young how difficult it is to move? How expensive is it? How inconvenient is it for there health challenges to move How far will you be from your family or do you have family left to care for you? I’m much younger than 80 and it’s extremely difficult and expensive to move.

This property may not be as expensive as other senior communities right now because it’s only coming up on 2 years , but where is this really going in order for this to become lucrative for corporate partners? Two increases in 1 year and six months!!! We were baited in and then Switched. How far does this tacked go back too🤔. Tenants have a responsibility and corporate responsibility is required as well. It’s almost like across this country, Seniors are not treated equally, rent increases in Senior communities are ridiculous. Demand respect and don’t shut up and take what is handed out. Really‼️ seniors are being faced with Age discrimination, Elderly Abuse, unfair housing, unethical policing, practices, fraudulent activity and just immorally unjust behavior and criminal activity from thieves !! It Must Stop 🛑 Stand up against every Racial & Social Injustice that Plague Seniors period. “ No Money in the World will keep you from Aging or Dying one day” SHARE!!!!! 🙏🏽. On November 30, 2023, I moved! My deposit was refunded except for a water bill which I had already paid , but was deducted. I emailed management to request my money back, but nothing. Later I found out that the mean spirited, bi-polar manager was escorted off the property a few months after I left in 2023.
