I've stayed here several times in the wintertime. I can't say enough good things about the Stonefire. The rooms are clean and reasonably priced. There are fish and game cleaning facilities and freezers. There is a lounge with a microwave and pizza maker. It is pet friendly. It is located right in the heart of Webster, with restaurants, gas stations, and a grocery store close by. Mark, the owner, is welcoming and attentive.

The perfect on-a-budget fishing lodge. We had 5 adults and one kid in a 6 bed room. It was clean and inviting and smelled like cedar. The bathroom was big enough and was stocked with towels. Sink, shower, toilet and urinal. Full size fridge and mini microwave in the room. Medium gas grill available just outside the door. Fish cleaning station on site. Common areas indoors and out. Easy to find right on the highway. Quick access to waubay lake and other area fishing lakes. Owner is clearly focused on providing a great experience for sportsmen.

I can not say enough good things about Stonefire. The rooms are clean and comfy, the area is quiet and peaceful, and the rates are pretty much unbeatable. It seems like this is the place to be for fishing and hunting. Lake Waubay is a 10-minute drive away, and there are literally dozens of other lakes in the area as well.

I stayed here for just about 3 weeks while in town for work. Mark was beyond accommodating. The rooms were tidied up literally every day, and while there were no issues at all, when I did need to get a hold of him, Mark was immediately responsive.

I've not had a better experience at any hotel/motel/lodging establishment ever, and I am all over the place for work, so I have a lot of places to compare to.

Stonefire Lodge is the BEST place in Day County.

I am looking forward to coming back whenever work assignments bring me around these parts again.

I’m a traveling nurse. And the agency I work for book this place for me well well well all I have to say is it is excellent it is clean cozy it’s like a place away from home the owner and his wife keep it very clean. They are very pleasant, if I had to be anywhere, I would be here only because it feels like home. Yes, there’s a fishing spot but when you get into a room, you will be surprised with what you see if I ever have to travel to South Dakota again to work. this is where I will be . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if I could rate them six stars, that’s what it will be.

Nothing fancy but the rooms are neat and clean. Mark the owner is a great guy and he keeps updating the rooms and the motel in general. It is definitely set up for hunters and fisherman with a game and fish cleaning room and a freezer for your haul. I highly recommend it for any hunters and fisherman. It's also right nextdoor to the bait shop. A plus if you need a license or to restock.

Rooms were nothing special but we didn't care. They were friendly and we came fish....not sit in a hotel room so it perfect! Good price and a fish cleaning room ON SITE!

This is the best place I've stayed in a long time, so clean and well taken care of and you can't beat the price. The bed was so comfy. The owner is fantastic, so nice. It's awesome to find a jem like this and affordable. I will be back.

There is nothing you can say bad about this place. Awesome owners, clean and updated rooms, game cleaning room and fantastic service all for an affordable price. Will be staying here again.
