Very nice place to stay and safe! Guard gated, and you have to have a pass to get in at any time. It’s very quiet, and if you’re into golf it’s got a golf course and clubhouse on the island.

Perfectly located on the southern point of Seabrook Island, and 500 yds walking distance to the Seabrook Island Club and pool. We came with the family and couldn't have picked a lovelier, peaceful location. Seabrook Island is the quiet companion to the more famous Kiawah Island, which is larger and has many more golf clubs. Partially because of its size, Seabrook is more intimate.
We made reservations through Coastal Adventures, who had passes ready for us at the Amety house when we first arrived, even after dark. The Coastal Adventures team couldn't have been more accomodating. From then on, everything required the access card, which was both pass to pool and towels and a credit card for all transactions on the island.
The drive in under the shade of the magnolias and oaks was a splendid entrance.
We had rented a two bedroom townhouse and stocked up on essential groceries at the super market on the way in to the resort.
Key points: our townhouse was near the beach and near the club - read walking distance - a great convenience. I encourage your to bring your bikes or rent them for your stay as they are the primary mode of transportation.
The beaches we immaculate and we frequently saw dolphins swimming along the coast.
We brought our dogs with us; as the resort has reserved a part of the beach to let them run off-leash.
The beach club veranda was perfect for meals, looking out over the ocean with a cooling breeze. There was a playroom for the kids; and a bar for the adults.
You could go kayaking or paddleboarding on the estuaries; or take a dolphin tour from one of the local operators. You could go horseback riding on the beach (for a small fortune) or just hang out by the pool and get a tan.
The only complaint was the heat; which is a big deal...but what do you expect in the middle of August.
I highly recommend Seabrook Island for all, young and old: and if you're a golfer, you'd be hard pressed to find a more welcoming location.
