I was not impressed with Daneen for a realtor. #1 She showed up late for our open house. #2 She was not prepared for the open house, as she was texting us questions the potential home buyers were asking and she should have known prior to the open house had she been prepared. #3 Twice she contacted us by text message asking for paperwork which had already been dropped off at her office both times. Yes she may have sold our house, but really our house sold itself!

Our experience working with Daneen has been top notch. The transaction fell through but that was not her fault. The business we were looking to buy just didn't have the income to support itself and several repairs were needed to the property that the sellers and I just could not agree on. Daneen was awesome getting our earnest money back as the sellers wanted to keep it. She was always available, was quick getting back to us with answers to our questions and handled everything in the most professional manner. Thanks Daneen...

When it came time to sell our home, we did not have a good experience with Travis @ South Dakota properties. with everything going on in my life at the time, moving out, separating from my husband, 2 special needs kids as well as a teenage son full of emotions of his own, the last thing needed was any added stress. We thought, hiring a licensed agent would alleviate that stress. Travis said before it was even on the market we had an offer on the house! Josh and I agreed THE HOUSE WILL BE SOLD AS IS! Well, the people who put the offer in had a list of things. so clearly that will not work as we said AS IS. So I thought that was it and we would keep on going and he would find a new buyer. NOPE, HE DID NOT. He wrote the contract and presented it to us and said I will take care of getting the contractors hired. DON’T WORRY he said…. Well, that was a big mistake on our part. Like the trusting person wanting to see the best in everyone I put my faith in him having the best interest for myself and my family. Well early this week we had small claims court Travis Me and Josh. the people who purchased the home are suing us for $10,000 😬 for what you ask?!? Remember that don’t WORRY? Well it was for not hiring a licensed contractor per the contract Josh and I signed with our agent Travis. So me trying to wrap my mind around the fact that he had this contract and was aware it said LICENSED contractor’s and he hired UNLICENSED people who happen to also be his friends. So as the buyers start in this court hearing boy does the plot thicken. We find out all that was wrong with the work. We find out that he and the buyer's agent had a hearing with The South Dakota Real Estate Board, he had to pay money along with other things. The buyer made multiple attempts to contact Travis to get the Contractors' information. As well as reaching out to the broker he works for. So going into court totally blindsided with even more lies and deception was disheartening. In the hearing, the buyer did express how wrong it was that he put us at risk as his clients. The buyer also stated that when at his hearing for The South Dakota Real Estate Board he told them he hired the contractors and small claims court he also stated that. Well, the judge said because we signed the contract that he presented us stating Licensed contractors were required, we are responsible. That is Elisa and Josh, not Travis. after praying about it and taking time to think what is the best way to go about this, and taking out the anger I had at myself and Josh but even more at Travis. Josh tried reaching out to the owner of South Dakota properties. She listened and said she was going to talk with him and get his side and would call back…. Well, Josh had to call her back and she informed us she had talked to him and she advised he would be reaching out. Mind you we now have already received the letter about the judgment and money we owe the buyers. But not a call from him. I want the best for everyone and if I found out this happened to someone else that would hurt more than the betrayal we received from not only the agent but the company he works for. I am 100% aware that we signed the contract and took him for his word and that was a risk we took. Life lesson 1 million and 1. But I don’t want anyone else learning the hard way with a dishonest company.

We recently just bought our first home with South Dakota Properties. Steve and Daneen have been so amazing throughout the whole process! Steve walked us through every step, and kept us informed. Both of them were available for questions, or viewings, at any time. If they were unable to show a house, they made sure someone was always available to help us. We cannot thank you enough for helping us find the perfect home that suited all of our requests, and for working so hard to make sure we got it! We greatly appreciate you making this process so smooth for us!

I have worked with Daneen and her clients for nearly 10 nears. I have heard nothing but raves from her clients in terms of how they are taken care of. This actually improved further with the addition of Steve Kumala, who, as a former contractor aids buyers in every manner of way, including steering them clear of poor properties to begin with. As one of the premier inspectors in the area, I am also impressed with how well they handle some of the tougher issues that might arise from the inspection process. And, as a thorough inspector, they do not shy away from me. I have only glowing regards for her team and wish them all the best in their new endeavor as a standalone brokerage firm in our area.
