Sadly, we recently lost our mother. During this difficult time, Smith and Gaston Funeral Home made the entire planning process one of great ease. Paul Garner was outstanding in the care that he demonstrated. He was very helpful, considerate and made it really feel as if he was there just for us. The gentleman who prepared our mother was very attentative to details. And I have to say, we were very pleased with her appearance. She looked as if she was just asleep. Everyone that we encountered during her funeral was very personable. I will always be grateful to them for making my mom's funeral such a peaceful experience.

Unfortunately, I have had more than one experience with Smith and Gaston Funeral Home. I lost a son and a mother. In each instance, Paul Gardner and staff treated our family with such care and concern. Every detail from beginning to end was handled in a meticulous and professional manner. More importantly, they made us feel as though we were their own family. This kind of care and concern is given to anyone that comes through their door. I highly recommend their services for such a time as the loss of a loved one.

I had my dad there 27 years ago, great service, staff. I'm at this point again, I sent my mother there last night for her final services until we send her on off to be with the Lord August 12. I'm sad again, because I cared for her for 7 long, rough, trying, hard years, but Jesus said come on home last night.
