I am a first time home buyer, well Owner now because of SMG Mortgage. Being a complete novice to real estate, i couldn't have chosen or rather been blessed by a better company. Brad and Rachel were absolutely phenomenal, any and every possible question i had they answered for me. They truly went above and absolutely beyond during the entire process. Always only a phone call away i dont recall a single time they didn't answer or immediately call me back. They always address me by name when i called because they took the time to develop a personal relationship. This exceptional service also extends throughout the entire company. Jeremy and Jessica who handled the collection of all my information and forms were just as wonderful. I may not be in the market for a home for awhile but the moment i decide to there is absolutely no question whom i will trust with my business. The made me aware of not one but several lender choices and always had what was best for me and my family in mind. I have had a client who used SMG mortgage to get a loan on a house and they were under contract starting 6/22/22. The original closing date was 7/25/22. We couldn’t make that closing date. Mortgage advisor would barely pick up the phone or return texts. Barely kept us in the loop. Gave different reasons for not being able to close so we moved to 8/8/22. I only knew we weren’t closing because the closing attorney told me title hasn’t even been requested. We requested the 18th as closing but the mortgage advisor couldn’t even guarantee that. Ended up losing the house because they couldn’t guarantee anything, I’m not sure the paperwork ever even got put in. President of the company didn’t even call the listing agent to smooth things over. Not only would I not recommend these folks I would advise people not to use them.

Horrible experience with this company. Complete waste of time and funds on securing a loan for an overpriced manufactured home. There were so many hidden fees added to the loan making the LTV well over 117%…. I lost $900 for an appraisal to came back 80k shy of home purchase price. Lots of promises n failed follow thru from the agent.
