Extremely Disappointing Experience

I recently had the unfortunate experience of renting from Kathy, and I must say it was a complete disappointment from start to finish. I had hoped for a smooth and accommodating renting experience, but unfortunately, my expectations were not met.
One of the most frustrating aspects of my time as their tenant was the lack of responsiveness. It felt like pulling teeth to get any sort of communication or assistance from them. Whether it was reporting maintenance issues or asking simple questions, they were consistently unresponsive. It's a basic expectation for a landlord to be reachable and attentive, and Kathy failed miserably in this regard.
Moreover, their lack of flexibility and reasonableness in addressing inconveniences was astounding. Life can throw unexpected challenges at anyone, and as a responsible tenant, I expected a degree of understanding and cooperation. Unfortunately, Kathy seemed more interested in maintaining a strict and inflexible approach, even when it was clear that circumstances were beyond my control. Their refusal to provide any financial relief or assistance during times of inconvenience left me feeling disheartened and unsupported.
In conclusion, my experience with Kathy was marked by unresponsiveness and a lack of empathy towards their tenants' needs. Renting from them was nothing short of a frustrating and disappointing experience. I would strongly advise potential renters to think twice before entering into any agreements with this landlord. There are undoubtedly more accommodating and responsive options available in the market that would make for a far better renting experience.

So far they are awesome. We had a difficult situation with a different Realty company at the very end of the month and Sierra shadows realty helped us squeeze right in by the first of the month . Any issues we've came across they've gotten it done in a timely manner. We came from a landlord who would take months to fix something, and Kathy and KD make sure it's done within a week, which to me is very reasonable especially with the way things are these days. Our heater went out and they had someone come the same day and help us get it going again. Any light fixture issues we had discovered they fixed. I love the fact this company is family owned. Gives it a good mom and pop feel. I've lived all over the country and rented from many places and this has been one of the best experiences we've had given the emergency we ran into before renting from them. My kids and fur pup love their new home. ?

Kathy is the worst property manager!! Like someone said in the old review her true colors come out and I highly recommend you don’t rent from her or do business with her. Kathy gets her friends to write nice reports on this Google review ….KD is a sweet heart and when she runs the company one day I know she will turn it out around. God bless KD

One of the best realty places I've worked with in town.
As a renter I've never encountered a problem that couldn't be fixed and fixed quickly. Timely call backs if overnight, and speedy resolutions to issues. Great repair men(and women) on call.
Wonderful mom daughter team who try to work with your needs. Ive never been happier as a renter.

Now for those looking to buy undeveloped property or existing homes, Mrs. Kathy does that too. Ive seen her work with others to find the ideal buying price, that dream house or a perfect plot of land for a cactus garden.
They also sell properties for thise looking to let go.

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE, whether you're looking to sell your home, rent it or you are looking for a place to rent. Kathy's ability to manage properties is a joke, and I found it entertaining that she markets herself as providing full service property management. It says that she provides 24hr emergency repair service and that periodic property inspections are done, this is not true. She has to be the hardest person to get a hold of after about 4 in the afternoon. I know what you're thinking, it says in the office hours listed that her office doesn't close until 5 P.M. Unfortunately, she's usually gone by 4:15-30 P.M., making it hard to report things that need to be fixed or taken care of. On top of that there is no emergency contact number listed. Well there is one listed on her website, it's just the regular office line relisted on a different part of her web page. I think in the 18 or 19 months that I rented a property from her I saw 5-6 different repair personnel that she used to get the general maintenance stuff done. She used this revolving door of on staff repair personnel as an excuse for not getting work done on time. Stating that the last guy quit and kept all the work orders. Also in those 18-19 months there was never a periodic property inspection, she didn't even come look the place over prior to renewing our lease. It took her over 2 months to get someone out to the home we were renting and have them fix the lock on the sliding glass door. I also had to fix the evap cooler myself because she never returned my phone calls. I tried to get a hold of her for a week, starting on Sunday when it broke. I left multiple messages with no call back. Once she did answer on Friday at 2:30 in the afternoon, she proceeds to tell me she has no plans of fixing it because she was in the process of getting them all shutdown for the winter. This was in the beginning of October and I was working an overnight shift. I needed the evap cooler because during the day while I was trying to sleep the house would get up to 85 degrees. She did nothing to correct the situation and it was just a broken belt. She could have sent over her handyman in the beginning of the week and they could have replaced the belt. I looked over most of the reviews posted on here and I feel like Kathy must get her friends to write nice things about her. The only time she ever conducted herself in a professional manner was when she was trying to obtain my business. Once I was renting from her the real Kathy showed up and it was apparent that she was not a professional or a property manager. AGAIN, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

Unprofessional, incredibly hard to get ahold of, rude, condescending and slow to get things fixed. It's incredibly difficult to communicate with someone who DOESN'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE, avoids you, or refuses to talk to you in person. I can't recommend you go ANYWHERE ELSE more.
