I rented a 1BR apartment in San Leandro for 4 years.

They offered an affordable unit, in a safe area, with prompt service. Any time we had an issue with our unit (heater, pests, clogging, tree trimming, etc.) they handled it timely and communicated well.

When we decided it was time to move to a larger and more up to date home, we first checked Selbourne Properties listing because there services are that good.

The only thing to keep in mind as a prospective tenant, is that there amenities and buildings can lean on the older side. That's why rent might be cheaper than the surrounding area.

Amazing management company. Tim has been managing my properties for many years. He is reliable and responsive. He handles tenant issues in a timely manner. Was looking to be a potential tenant and view one of their properties today. However, I don’t know that I want to do business with this company after the experience I (didn’t) have. The showing was booked for 10a. Admittedly, I was running a few minutes late, not even 10 min, and would have called to let the agent know, except all I had was a generic confirmation email. Yet, the showing is booked for 30 minutes, so at worst figured I might have to hustle through viewing.

As I get to the property, something told me to check my email. Lo and behold, I have an email from the agent telling me he’d already left, that he had another showing and sent a link to reschedule.

I’m sorry, how does a 30 min showing get cancelled less than 10 minutes into the appointment, due to another appointment? Sounds like poor planning..or nonsense to me. Either way, not sure I want to enter into a business agreement with a company that conducts itself as such
