I've recently started renting here. While the apartment complex themselves are decades old, they are well made. The complex area is quiet thanks to the apartment community and owner. I have a great one bedroom and office apartment on the second floor. I have new flooring throughout and freshly painted walls. There are also new light fixtures as well.
I have also seen my fair share of the different layouts in the complex (and Kodiak area). I love the apartments on the first floor but I wanted my current layout more. As one final note about the inside, one of the major selling points is that it had a washer and dryer. They work great and I'm glad I don't have to buy my own or go outside my apartment to do a load.

The owner is extremely open and upfront. I have found him to be flexible and approachable. He has put a lot of time and work getting my apartment up to snuff. The landscaping he does is also a refreshing touch.
While dogs are not allowed, cats are. That might be saddening to some (like me) but I know that my apartment is clean through to the boards. In addition, there is no need to worry about howling or dog poop.
The area is very safe. I have had a few large packages left at the bottom of the stairs leading to my door. I've checked and they had been there for hours and everything had always been accounted for. Alternatively, it is also possible that the owner can put it into your apartment if he is there. Or, at least I think an effort could be made!

Great place to live ! The landlord is attentive to your needs and take cares of anything quickly. He contacts tenants making sure everything is O.K. and is flexible. Former tenants may want to leave stuff to help set up apartment and that helps however your choice. Living in Kodiak is challenging to move and furniture, etc. is expensive and limited. This really helped me as I did not have furniture at the time and stuff left was not damaged and very practical. I moved and he approved me leaving stuff and did look at it making sure not damaged or trashed. Also offered me to make deposit in payments instead of whole deposit at once. My friend came down from Anchorage to help me move and he let us stay an extra day without paying which took pressure off as Ferry leaving next day. We would have to pay for a night before and that saved me money. One of few places that allowed cats and trusted his tenants with cats. Very friendly, practical, flexible and I highly recommend renting an apartment at Seaview !

Sea View apartments is in a great location central to anything you may need. The apartments are very well kept and I loved having a separate room that had a washer and dryer. Having a designated parking area is also a highlight.
The landlord is very friendly and approachable. Any issues I had were addressed immediately and he not only takes pride in the apartment themselves but the grounds as well.
I was able to foster cats while I was here which was definitely a plus!
