Adding an update, as I've now just worked with Ryan again to *buy* a place.

I'm now convinced - Ryan is the only way to go for real estate transactions. Despite my area of interest being a few hours drive from Ryan's locale, he was willing to work with me. We developed a great partnership and I felt totally taken care of throughout the entire process. Buying a house - especially in the SF bay area as a single woman - is no small task, but I felt Ryan's full support throughout the entire process. He was extremely communicative over text, email, and phone, and often would help me think through scenarios or provide me with options (and pros / cons plus next steps for each option!). Not only is Ryan incredibly savvy at what he does, he deeply *cares* about his clients as people and about their happiness. I felt truly taken care of throughout the entire process of looking, submitting offers, and now going through the whole escrow process with Ryan. If you want someone who will get the job done but with a human touch, Ryan is certainly the guy you want!

We're skeptical of realtors because of the incentive structure, but Ryan is a true - but personable! - business man and takes his craft so seriously that he was able to sell himself and his qualities as a realtor to us. So ultimately, we chose to work with Ryan to sell our house and it was one of the best decisions. Ryan was the utmost professional: extremely communicative (kept us informed along the way, responded quickly, explained things in plain English, etc), was willing to go at our pace, helped us prep everything (right down to doing a walkthrough of the house with me before the photo shoot), and spoke knowledgeably and realistically about strategy (pricing, listing, etc). The whole process was smoother than I could have hoped / anticipated. Definitely would recommend going with Ryan if you're looking to buy or sell in the Tahoe area!
