The best part; DOG FRIENDLY! I enjoy trips with my puppy so it was worth every penny we paid for to go here. There was so much to see and a lot of walking. The ladies at the front were extremely sweet and no attitude from anyone. The town around is busy, parking is easy, price is right, and a very nice rest area when you get to the top of the mountain.

Please be cautious when having your dog, I did a silly thing by taking my dog across a bridge that moves a lot. Please don’t try this. I had to carry him all the way through.

The magic fairy land was a beautiful surprise.

I recommend visiting.

This place is amazing, we had an excellent time and was one of the highlights so far of our Chattanooga vacation! The staff was very friendly and the location was amazing. The walks were great but I would not suggest it for folks with any disabilities or if you are very large as some of the paths are tight. The views from the side of the mountain are truly majestic and we were lucky enough to get them when the weather had cleared. We were also lucky enough to go right after rain so everything had a mysterious and wet feel to it with al the steams and rocks running with water which made it extra cool. This is now one of my favorite places in Tennessee! I highly recommend!!!

This is a hiking trail, but a VERY easy one, with paths and directions on where to go. A classical tourist trap. There are several squeeze points that bigger folks will have issues with. Needles eye is the first one. Fat man's squeeze is the second, but actually has two points in it. My boyfriend got stuck in fat man's squeeze and had to turn back. There is an ADA friendly path, but there are a lot of steps throughout the main path.

Tickets are available online. And there is food and sweets available inside the gates.

Arrived at 6pm on a Saturday in early April. Parking was not a problem. The day was close to 90, so I'm glad I arrive late in the day because it's cooler. I did not purchase the tickets ahead, so there's a QR code for you to scan to purchase online by the ticket window or you can purchase it at the ticket window. The garden was not very crowded so I took my time. It's a very nice and relaxing place with enough Instagram spots. On top there's a cafe, and it's relaxing to eat or drink 🍻 while soaking up the gorgeous view. I spent about 2 hours, and had a good time.

Rock City was absolutely incredible! Grim and I went in the afternoon, and the entire experience was magical from start to finish. The views from Lookout Mountain are unreal—seeing seven states from one spot is something you just have to experience in person. The trails were so much fun to explore, with massive rock formations, winding paths, and surprises around every corner.

Walking across the Swing-A-Long Bridge was a blast, and the waterfalls and gardens added to the beauty of it all. Fairyland Caverns and Mother Goose Village were like stepping into another world—so much creativity and attention to detail. It’s one of those places that feels like a mix of nature, fantasy, and adventure all rolled into one.

Everywhere we looked, there was something amazing to take in, and the whole place had this peaceful yet adventurous vibe. If you're anywhere near Chattanooga, Rock City is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Rock City is awesome! Wasn’t expecting a lot more than a walk where I saw some cool rocks, but it was a lot more than that. You get to walk in between some mini canyon type rock formations. There is an amazing view spot at one point, as well as a cool waterfall at another point. I especially loved Fairyland Caverns. You walk through a cave, and they have super cool children’s stories set up along the way, with LED lights lighting them up. I would definitely come and visit Rock City if you’re in the area!

This is one of my all time favorite places to visit with my family. The view is amazing and I love all the trails along the mountain as well as Fairy Land Caverns. It just never gets old to me because it reminds me of my childhood, and I like that I can share the experience of going there with my own children. Our most recent visit took place during the fall on a week day and the wait time to get in was not bad at all. Definitely recommend going in the fall or the spring. Just a beautiful and magical place.

Beautiful walking tour among the lookout point, trails, and attractions. The Fairy Tale Cavern with all the displays created to depict fairy tales from childhood is so well done. The fluorescent paint is pretty cool too
