I would give five stars for this company as my dad's been using this company since the early 80s to manage his property in San jose. Recently, I needed to reach out to them but the phone number is disconnected, and when you go to the general red carpet website, there is a phone number for contact there but when you click on it, there's a whole bunch of advertisements for medical devices and medical insurance and when you finally get a live person, she very quickly tries to talk you into signing up to getting one of those emergency monitoring devices that you wear around your neck.. I stopped her mid sentence and said wait a minute, I'm trying to reach red carpet property management for my father and this number is what I clicked on on the Red carpet website so why am i getting all this weird medical stuff and she hung up on me...so my advice is do not fill out any information on this website or call this number because I think somehow it has been hacked and it is now being used as a scam. There's no reason for someone to have been so unprofessional as to hang up on me when I ask them what's going on, im supposed to be calling a property management company Be careful!

A mom and pop operation since the 70’s. Red Carpet truly represents the best of old San Jose. It’s a throw back to when business was done with a handshake and a smile and people could be taken for their word. Bill is a dedicated family man, a man of integrity, honesty and old fashioned values. A soldier through and through, he is a valuable asset to the community and a knowledgeable real estate professional. If you’re looking to rent, buy or sell a property come see Bill and the rest of the team at Red Carpet. They’ll roll it out for you like the other bigger offices won’t.

Poor Client Relationship Management and stuck in the 80’s type of sales mentality. I listed my home after a complete remodel with all high-end products: Kitchen cabinets and Carrera Marble countertops, Chefs stove, new Master bath and walk-in shower, All 3bedrooms and baths remodeled and upgraded with new vanities, fixtures, etc..high-end wood flooring top to bottom, new A/C unit, new patio and pavers and much, much more nothing left undone. It was a showcase home. It sat for 100 days in a low inventory market. Absolutely no marketing, no Social Media mktg, nothing. I literally called most of the buyers’ agents asking for offers. Nothing done on the listing agent’s side. I had to cancel the listing after 100 days as the listing got stale. I had over 20 agents calling me within days asking to re-list and why it did not sell with complete remodel and all the upgrades. They all agreed that it was a showcase home and should sell over ask and quickly. I had to tell them it had literally no mktg presence the listing agent said that the MLS will sell the property and it does not need any social media mktg. They all gave the same advice that we live in a digital age where Social media mktg is the medium to sell the property. After 120 days I decided to use another agent from another Real Estate firm. The Red Carpet agent wanted to re-list with me agian with the same process or lack of process. I said no I nee dto sell quckly as I have an offer pending out of state. It’s like the definition of crazy: doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. At any rate, the new Listing Agent started with a Website, flyers, and Social Media mktg. I had multiple offers in less than 3-weeks and sold. Because the prices had come down since I first listed 8 months prior I was down about $50K in loss of Sale price. Had I listed early on with the new Agent I would not have lost the $50k. Nonetheless, the prices had gone up in the state I was relocating to. The price of the homes in the 8 months went up on average of 26%. In the area I purchased it was about $100K - $150K price increase for the homes. So all in all, listing with Red Carpet cost me about $150k to $200K that I lost. Never will I use a Red Carpet Agent again. During this time the Red Carpet agent sent an agent-to-agent referral agreement to my out of state realtor. I asked that the referral agreement be cancelled as a courtesy but they insist on keeping the contract for 1-year on all my purchases and future purchases with this agent. The Red Carpet listing agent is bitter that I used another agent and that it sold in 3-weeks using Social Media Mktg and is not willing to cancel the referral agreement. So, an easy fix is to use another agent in my new state. Because they have poor Client Relationship Management and unwilling to work with me and cancel the referral agreement it is an easy fix: I hire a new agent (their referral agreement is essentially void and invalid with my new agent) and they get a real review that tells the truth about how they operate and how poorly they treat their clients.
