I WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS! Hands down the worst property management company in existence. They are terrible people with a terrible business practice. They will charge you completely ridiculous fees for everything and you don't get a choice. Resigning lease fees after we've lived here for over 5 years. Raising the rent to ridiculous prices but will not fix the house. Blame the owner for everything but he is actually a nice guy. They falsify mold reports. There was water pouring out of my ceiling and I put in an emergency maintenance request, called and left messages and they didn't even text me until a few days after. Please do not rent from these people and do not let them manage your property.

Worst experience dealing with a property management company. Went days without any contact during freezing conditions. Sent unqualified handyman to deal with major mechanical issues.

**Not sure what happened but nobody is picking up or returning emails for the past week 8/23. My property is vacant and there have been no updates with property condition or relisting it. Going straight to voicemail.**

RPM has been an excellent property management company. It's changed hands a few time over the years, but I have been happy with the current ownership (as of June 2020). Libby is organized, responsive, and well informed. I do not live in Charleston, so communicating via email is key and RPM has been able to answer questions and find tenants and contractors quickly. This allows me to keep my investment hassle free. Would highly recommend!

I went through another period of uncertainty in early 2019 when RPM transferred to new ownership. But I can say now their service is again very good. My most recent dealings with RPM have been handled by Libby Powell. Libby is efficient, professional and courteous. She has a great personality, keeps me informed about the property, answers questions thoroughly, makes helpful suggestions and follows up quickly when needed.

(December 2018) I continue getting good service and communications from RPM. When my tenant moved away early this year they had well qualified tenants ready to move into my house without delay. I highly recommend them.

Several years ago I had issues with unanswered calls and requests that weren’t fulfilled. This was all corrected when the owner returned from service overseas. The staff was replaced, and communication improved dramatically. RPM Charleston now provides prompt, thorough and courteous service, every time. I would recommend them to anyone needing a property manager.

Although I met my unit in a barely habitable state due to previous tenants neglect, the team at RPM has been extremely helpful getting my concerns revolved. Libby particularly has gone above and beyond, even reaching out to local agencies to make sure my unit satisfied my needs! More recently, Auggie has been my primary contact and she is amazing. Every interaction with her has been beyond polite! She has gone to great lengths to ensure all my needs are met and requests are addressed. I am so lucky to have this team as my units property manager. I have now been in the unit a year and a half and look forward to a continued positive experience with RPM.

RPM is more problems than it is worth. I've had issues with my rental property regarding rental payment and have not been able to speak to anyone for over a week. They will not give me a phone number to speak to a property manager or representative. I've left numerous voicemails and sent countless emails expressing that need to have an update on to what exactly is going on with my home. I will never do business with them in the future.

So far, dealing with RPM has been smooth and concise. The property I’m living in now has had a few issues here and there (there was a leak from the waste drain pipe on the shower/tub and the refrigerator/freezer not coming down to safe and operable temperatures), however all issues have been addressed, followed-up on, and either resolved or scheduled to be resolved very promptly and thoroughly. My two honorable mentions go to MC Danner when I was searching for a property and Jerry who liaisons all of the maintenance requests I’ve submitted thus far.

I can write a book about RPM. We've been fortunate to have them as our Property Management Co. and they by far have raised the standards! Although their office is in another state, I can always count on Libby to respond to any of our concerns. In fact, I would say that we have better communication with them in VA than we had when the office was local. Libby provides excellent customer service and is ALWAY empathetic to whatever our needs are. I truly am thankful for her! She is the leader of the pack, and others can definitely learn a thing or two by following her.
