Their staff is extremely unprofessional! I was lied to and told that a dryer connection would be added to the house I’m renting before I moved in. That was the beginning of last month. Since nothing has been done and I haven’t been told anything I decided to call the office and see what happened. The woman who answered is extremely rude and disrespectful, and hung up in my face because I’m upset that I was basically swindled into moving into a place I didn’t want to begin with. There was also a mold issue, the place is old and they’re too cheap to make the place decent, they don’t care for the tenants AT ALL, only getting paid. This is the worst rental property I’ve ever rented from and when my lease is up I will NEVER rent from them again. If they were the last rental company in Albany I’d relocate somewhere else. They don’t even deserve 1 star!

Have had problems with them since we have moved here, mind you we have been here for 4 years and always paid rent and late fees! We have 7 spots on our ceiling that we called about multiple times two years ago and still Noone has showed up!! Our bathtub has been having a MAJOR LEAK SINCE DECEMBER their guy has came out 4 times and still doesn't have the problem fixed it's obvious he had no clue what he is doing! Here it is two months later and we haven't heard from anyone in a month! our water bill is alot more now because of this leak , I call twice every week and all they say is the same thing over and over that they will make contact with the guy and we NEVER hear back from them EVER! LET ME TELL YOU WE always pay our rent but since these problems we haven't paid the late fees cause obviously they won't fix what need to be fixed and we have 4 kids. We have to keep turning the water on and off which is a BIG hassle. They Have the nerve to say we need to start paying late our late fees again but they could care less about our problems THAT NEED TO BE FIXED and our families NEEDS ! I CAN GUARANTEE THERE IS MOLD ABOVE THE CEILING ALSO . Just saying!!! We will be moving as soon as we find a place in a reasonable neighborhood!! Just ridiculous how they threaten you with court and they don't fix what need to be fixed. Oh and another thing when they do actually half way fix things they love to spring the cost of repairs on the tenants saying it's their fault! Defiantly believe the reviews!!

Great homes to chose from BUT customer service is shoddy at best. They talk over you and try to answer the question before you can even get it out of your mouth. The lady that goes by Jo is by far the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life. Too many chiefs and not enough indians overall in the office there. Was told screens would be installed on 2 windows that were missing in the house that I moved in only to then be told by a different employee that they dont install screens anymore. ONLY THEN TO BE TOLD again that they would be installed. Like which is it? Alot of passing the blame as well for new homes that might need a repair. Anderson passes the blame to the builder and the builder passes the blame back apparently but Anderson wont give you the contact information of the builder....ridiculous. After all of that, I specifically asked that the property manager call me back and instead Jo calls; rude attitude and all. Its really a shame because the homes are nice and they are pretty tech savvy with the capability to put in maintenance request online and pay rent online.

Move Out: I had to come back and add to my review. When you move out, YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR FULL DEPOSIT BACK. These people nickel and dime you for everything they possibly can. They charged me over 200 dollars for cleaning for a home that was returned cleaner to them than it was given to me by 10 fold. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS!

Well, one of the two homes I was interested in (that was listed on their website) was not ready to be viewed. The other home, they let me check out a key and I got a chance to see. It was nice except for the FLEAS in the CARPET that made me their lunch. I called them and all they had to say to me was "Thank you for letting us know". I sincerely doubt I will pursue any further business with this company.

Worst customer service I've ever encountered. They don't want to fix things and generally don't care about the properties they rent. I will never rent from them again. Jo is the rudest customer service professional ever. She deserves an award. I'm not sure if the attitude she displays is racist or just full of contempt because she has to work. Usually people who are this rude, hate their own lives so I pray for her.

My brother is a decorated veteran and has fought for this country and cant get a house. He was approved and then given every reason he can't get the house he wants. They charged two application fees and then stated its only one fee per 30 days. I dont know if its because they are all white and he's black but I do have to wonder.

I too am a tenant with Anderson Company. Believe everything these posts are saying. These people are awful. I have had nothing but problems since I moved in last June. My A/C was froze up the night I moved in. My fridge has went on the fritz multiple times. I got flooded in Dec.2nd of last year and lost wages for both me and my husband and they actually wanted to threaten me with a warrant when I couldn't meet all the rent on Dec 7th after we lost over $120 that day for being flooded in. My A/C froze again Dec 31st and no one came out til Jan 2nd to fix. All he did was blow it out and say it will probably happen again(great). Now I came home from a long work day last night to find No water at all. I called twice last night and almost every hour today with no results. As of 5:40pm there is still no one assigned to my work order. I guess no bathing or flushing the toilet again tonight. Not to mention I couldn't even feed us last night. You can't cook without water to wash the meat off with. But it's not them going without so they could care less. They are home and comfy with running water.
I give them NO STARS. It would not let me post this without highlighting one star.
Run away from these people as fast as you can but DoLee rentals are the same way. Hard to find a good rental company in Albany I guess.

The service with this company is AWFUL!!! I currently rent from them and the way they handle their tenants is so distasteful. I hade a leaking pipe in my bathroom and their resolution for fixing the problem was to put black tape around the pipe. When I called, the lady that answered the phone wanted to argue that it was done properly. I WILL be contacting The Better Business Bureau & the Code Enforcers!
