I have worked with Emmett Cahill and Dominick Martinez from QFC Commercial Real Estate to secure our last two business locations for our office furniture store and both times they were a pleasure to work with. They listened carefully to assess our unique needs (and they were pretty unique!) and worked tirelessly to give us options without trying to shoehorn us into any particular location.

If you are looking for a commercial brokerage in San Diego County give these guys a try. They are friendly and approachable and working with them feels more like working with a trusted advisor and advocate then a broker or salesperson trying to sell you on a location. 5 stars all day long!!!

We have proudly operated our small, owner-run business in the same neighborhood since 2012. We have over 150 positive reviews and work hard to meet our clients needs. We had a wonderful working relationship with our past management. We worked as a team to find solutions. However, our experience has significantly deteriorated since QFC’s new management took over in August of this year.

Tom, one of the employees, seems to lack the stress tolerance necessary for his role, particularly when dealing with the homeless population in the area. Instead of finding collaborative solutions, he made abrupt decisions, such as last-minute lock changes, without consulting tenants or reviewing lease agreements. To make matters worse, he falsely reports increasing security sweeps being performed, leaving us to do their job by ensuring the premises are safe and clean for our patrons.

Despite claiming to be helpful, Tom’s approach is more about complicating issues. As offsite management, he seems to believe he knows what’s best for the building, but his authoritarian decision-making style, lack of communication, refusal to respond to emails, and denial of meeting requests have only caused frustration.

QFC should seriously consider whether Tom is suited for this position. His inability to handle tenant issues fairly and professionally has turned what should be a partnership into an ongoing nightmare.

If you value your tenants and their businesses, we urge QFC to rethink its management approach and make changes that foster collaboration and respect. Until then, we cannot recommend working with this management company.
