I am a home OWNER in Wakefield, and I pay the $65/month HOA fee. I have lived here since my house was finished being built in November 2022. During the last five months or so, some of the new RENTERS have been littering the street and water retention area, parking on the street in front of my house (and others’) with large SUVs and trucks, and I have been requesting my shrubs be trimmed (Which is part of our dues. Everone’s shrubs are overgrown.) I have sent photos to management frequently, but nothing is being done. There is plenty of room for everyone to park in their driveway, or 2-car garage, but they choose to park on the street. These vehicles are obstructing the view while backing out of my (and other neighbors’) driveway, and there is a large red truck, and red and white cars that are frequently parked in front of the entrance to Westgate, and across from the stop sign where people turn into the development or onto Freedom Drive. These vehicles are making it difficult for first responders to get through in an emergency. I have been repeatedly reporting these violations to management, which does nothing. Until about a month ago, management sent group texts/emails threatening to charge the OWNERS of these houses on a daily basis for the violations of their tenants, which is obviously not happening. As an owner, I shouldn’t have to look out my window, and see large vehicles parked in front of my house, especially when there is clearly enough room in my neighbors’ driveways and garages for their vehicles. I’ve also asked the lawn care company and management to please trim my shrubs, to no avail. (The lawn care man replied, “When we have time.” That was two weeks ago. In addition, I have never been informed of a single HOA meeting, nor have I received any information concerning the discussed issues and results. I have inquired about the meetings, but received no response. This post is an attempt to help all the home owners in Wakefield get what they are paying for. Thank you to those who read it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Worst business I’ve ever dealt with - borderline criminal. If I could explain to non-military family and friends the pains experienced from PCS moves, Prestige Homes, Tracey, and Gwen Gilley would take the cake in being the showcasing examples. Do not expect any sort of positive customer service if you move into a rental home that’s not in the shape it was advertised to be for move-in.

Carpets were destroyed, dryer vents were disconnected and left wide open for insects and rodents to enter the home, walls still had visible damage and stains from previous renters, and garbage was left all over the premise. Maintenance requests will go unanswered for the entirety of your lease - I was never told the sprinklers didn’t function and woke up at 3am to the backyard flooded due to blown sprinkler heads in three different spots in the yard. That explains why the backyard had seen extensive flooding and erosion at the sloping lawn. The mailbox was held to the post by zip ties during move-in. Child locks were still attached to every drawer in the home, including the oven.

By far the worst business I’ve ever dealt with and will advise all co-workers moving to the Fort Rucker area to avoid Prestige at all costs. Please stop advertising yourself as military friendly but knowingly taking advantage of Soldiers. These issues were all previously known and when confronted to Tracey and Gwen, we were made to be seen as a nuisance for requesting change. Prestige offered nothing in reparation and any improvement to quality of life relied on us, the renter to expend out of pocket.

Do not hire Prestige to manage your property. The invoices to repair anything on your home will be ridiculous. On countless occasions, I was quoted over 50% what I ended up paying after hiring my own contractor. The point of paying 12% of rent is to put the owner at peace of mind and save time; nonetheless, if you can't trust you will get a reasonable quote for maintenance, you find yourself doing all the work obtaining quotes and hiring contractors. (Icing on the top was when my microwave stoped working, I stated $600 sounded steep for a traditional microwave, and then the property management team told me they "would give me the contact number for the tenant to work with them directly on scheduling that contractor to get into the house.. I'm not sure what I pay these people for.). Needless to say, I cannot wait for this contract to end to replace them with anyone else.

Very Unprofessional. Very shady. Do not provide proper documentation for tenants entering/exiting their leases. Will try to take advantage of owners if you are not careful. VERY poor communication skills.

I don't normally do Google reviews but have to on this experience. I had been looking for a rental in the Enterprise area for a could of weeks. I reached out to a some other management companies and was ignored. One place had a very difficult method of renting and I couldn't never speak to an actual person. I went into Prestige Homes Property Management and was immediately greeted by Haley . She in that moment stopped what she was doing and helped me. I found a home that has been very well taken care of. All of the ladies at this establishment have been very kind and have eased the anxiety of moving.

I’ve been renting through Prestige for almost 3 years. Only twice have I had a maintenance issue, and within 24 hours the issue was corrected. The staff is friendly and helpful! A special thank you to Tracy for being considerate and understanding! Highly recommend!

Long story short..I had a terrible experience trying to rent from Prestige. Tracy was exceptionally rude. All these other negative reviews are spot on. Unfortunately, new folks are constantly PCSing in and they get blindsided like I nearly did. Please spread the word and let your friends know that Prestige is no friend of the military community.

Tracy and her team are the absolute worst. In the past year, due to her neglect, a tenant brought pets into my unit and left damages everywhere. The cleaning crew notified Tracy of the pet hair and Tracy never held the Tenant accountable. On top of all that, she broke her own contract and spent more than the $500 on fixing the AC unit without consulting me at all. Her communication is poor to non existent. To top it all off, one of the repair men she had in the unit, put a hole in my tub and Tracy is charging me for the repair. Take extreme caution when renting or having your home managed by them.
