Update 8/2024
•Read the owner reply. “ sorry for the delay” . Common phrase from Poston! Highlights our entire neighborhoods biggest complaint! Jokers! • scroll to the bottom.

They don’t deserve one star.
I’ve been dealing with Kathryn for over one year. Every single thing takes multiple emails to accomplish. They “look into”and “wait for replies”.
I don’t have the time to recap one year. It’s exhausting!
Biggest frustration for me is they do not use our money wisely.
Zero accountability on the daily. From the pool rules to the damaged community buildings, they would not release details about community financed ( our money) projects and repairs and responsibilities.
Couldn’t recommend LESS!

These repairs took months. I had to communicate through Poston. Not the construction company responsible. The ones we paid to build and repair. All communication through Poston. Which was beyond frustrating. They did get it repaired just in time for pool opening. Thank you!

I included 2 pictures of the 5000.00 chairs left uncovered for months! The original covers went missing and never replaced. I suggested a sign until covers could be replaced. No sign. Kids playing on them everyone I went…
Covers are in place now. Many days of non access and breaking the law. They care?! NO!

These chairs are legally required. Bigger! More importantly! They provide access to those who would not otherwise be able to enjoy our pool!

I attempted to contact the pool company listed on the sign. Again, we pay them. The owner told me he would not speak to me. Answer basic questions about job responsibilities of the attendants and cleaning duties. The cleaning and testing schedule. Basic things needed to keep a pool SAFE and clean!
Again, go through Poston.

Christmas is faster for a 6 year old!

Owner: your turn 🤡

I recently purchased a home in a community managed by Poston, with Jay as our HOA manager. He has been incredibly communicative and helpful. Having served on my previous community’s board, I can confidently say this has been my best experience with an HOA management company. As with any newly established community, there have been some questions and issues, but Jay has addressed and resolved them all efficiently. He responds to calls and emails promptly, and I truly appreciate his expertise. I look forward to seeing how Poston continues to manage our community!

**Edit**. An edit is due on my part and accept accountability on my lack of timelines. My contact Beth, has been responsive in this situation. She is new in her position, so this would be our first interaction. She is pleasant, kind, timely in her responses and transparent in the situation we are in. I've been made aware the utility company who did work on these sewage pipes did not let our HOA know. Since my reach out to Beth, she has been diligent in reaching out and receiving no responses from the utility company. Just as Poston is lucky to have Mary, they are lucky to have Beth as well. What a wonderful new addition to Poston.
With that being said, my continued experience overall is disappointing. Mr. Poston's only concern seems to be the reviews and that's unfortunate. Example is in his response to me. No follow up on whether or not my concern was taken care of or a appreciation for my feedback or question as to why I've had a poor experience for 3 years and not just this one instance. If the situation was different and I had left the cement on my property for over a month, I can guarantee I would be fined. Yes, the cement is still out there for kids to throw, cars to get damaged, kids to get hurt, etc. It's been a month now. I understand this was caused by the utility company, however, it is Poston's responsibility to maintain our neighborhood. If Mr. Poston truly cared about the service and our neighborhood, he would have his team clean up and work with the utility company privately. In conslusion, my review is for Poston as a company and not Beth. She is absolutely wonderful to work with. Mr. Poston on the otherhand could use some additional training. Companies are only as strong as their weakest link. I would like this cement cleaned up by the end of this week please.

Since we have been with this HOA, going on 3 years now, their basic service skills lack. Their response times are beyond unreasonable because 9 out of 10 times you don't get a response. And I am not the only one in our neighborhood with these experiences. While I do not come on here representing them, their experiences also impact me. When you finally do get someone to email back (they NEVER return your call, it's greeted with an attitude as if you're the problem and an inconvenience to them. My most recent example of this is following up with concrete debris left onsite in my front yard for 2 weeks with no communication. I did not receive a call back. A week later I followed up and the receptionist was surprised to hear I hadn't received a response. Now, the receptionist with Poston is the only good thing they have going for them! Thanks Mary ;). She provided the email I needed because another example is that we were not notified we had a new manager. I'll leave that for another day. Moving on, I left another message and sent an email. I woke up to an email this morning with no apology, no 'thank you for letting me know because the utility company didn't notify HOA', complete rudeness. In their email, they tell me they did reach out when I called last week. How was I supposed to know that with NO communication on Poston's end? I wouldn't have followed up with a call and email if I had heard from them. So if you can, avoid this HOA with everything in you. Even if they manage a residence you have to have. It's not worth it.

We have two associations we have to pay in Branch Creek. William Douglas for HOA and Poston Management for special assessment fees! How crazy does this sound. When I moved into this community my HOA fees were 230.00, now 4 years later it's 300.00 plus an extra 100.00 a month for special assessment fees. I refused to pay the special assessment because Nothing special happened, so they threatened to sue me. I have a small piece of property and at this rate my HOA fees will be higher than my mortgage!! What do y'all think?

One star...because zero stars is not an option. I served six years as an HOA president. Poston & Company was incapable of doing even basic things to benefit the homeowners because they're system hasn't the ability to adapt. It was almost as if they were working against the HOA.

If you are looking for a true property management company, look elsewhere!

They have been repeatedly non responsive to a vegetation issue that is affecting multiple properties in our development. They continue to shift responsibilities to the Master HOA for Cane Bay. Neither can effectively work together to resolve an obvious issue that is detrimental to the aquatic health of the lake and tributaries.

UPDATE: The issues have not been resolved and the lack of any follow through is evidence of how this company only provides lip service. No action, no resolution, no reason to hire them!

I'm rating 5 stars for Mary! I have limited experience with the company, as I am new to the area. I had to reach out for a minor issue and struggled to connect with the property managers. It was Mary that fielded my calls, every time. She was always kind, relatable, helpful and absolutely went out of way to help me. It is because of her that I was able to have a different experience than many of the other customer reviews I've seen. Poston, you are lucky to have her!
