In 2020 I moved into my apartment
(2642 E 3rd Street). My rent was $675 for my 2bed 1bath. I was immediately informed that my dishwasher and my Laundry room did not have running ground Electricity. So I would not be able to use appliances.

Before PMI RIVER REGION took over these apartments were ran by Camelot Properties of Montgomery. The first year I never had any issues with the apartment or the company whom ran them. Later on in the summer when PMI took over, I had a leakage problem that I CONSTANTLY REPORTED FROM AUGUST 2021-SEPTEMBER of 2022. Maintenance came once looked at the issue and never fixed it. Not ONCE.
The communication with the office was awesome until they changed staffing.

When I began to look for other places to rent they harassed me constantly for me to move out. Although, I paid my rent rent ON TIME AND TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE. I was given an Ultimatum. Then I was told my rent will be raised from $675 to 945
So if you want to live here be advised they are not what they appear.

I rented from PMI River Region for four years. While I have a lot of great memories from the little historic duplex I rented on North Lewis Street in the Capitol Heights neighborhood of Montgomery, I also have a great deal of frustration and disappointment toward PMI River Region for not keeping good faith as landlords.

For one example among many: one afternoon in 2020, my kitchen cabinets suddenly fell clean off the wall because (unbeknownst to me) they hadn’t been installed properly. Every single dish I owned was broken, including some really special ones that had been gifted to me by family members. PMI River Region repeatedly promised to refund me for getting new dishes. They never did.

At one point, PMI River Region increased my monthly rent mid-lease. When I asked them what the increase was for, they told me that it covered a new rental insurance policy they had taken out to protect my interests. When I asked to see the insurance policy that I was being made to pay for, they could not produce it. Every month I was made to pay for a policy that I had not elected to take out, and which I was never allowed to see.

When moving out, I spent $200 of my own money to have a professional cleaning company come to do a move-out cleaning service. I provided PMI with a receipt for this cleaning upon turning in my keys to let them know I had taken care of it. Yet PMI River Region deducted hundreds of dollars from my security deposit for “cleaning” after I moved out. I was very surprised by this. When I asked for specifics about the deduction and what hadn’t been clean, they were vague and evasive, refusing to specify why they had taken money from my security deposit. After continued inquiries, they informed me that they had taken hundreds of dollars from my deposit for finding dust on the baseboards and crumbs in the oven.

I lived in the apartment for four years, and I paid my rent in full, on time, every month — more than $30,000 over the course of my time with PMI River Region. The front office staff is wonderful, and the apartment was cute, so I stayed longer than I should have… but the actual company demonstrated to me that they will nickel and dime good tenants. Sadly, I cannot recommend them.

PMI and its for ever changing staff mbrs is very unprofessional!!! They give false and misleading information!! No-one in the office is on the same page. They mother who answers the phone def. gives out incorrect info! They do not return phone calls nor emails especially the "property manager", Mrs. Love. when i was able to FINALLY move into the home i took very good detail pictures of the already done damages, the carpet had not been cleaned, the blinds to the windows were damaged and other things.(yes i didn't have to move in, but you would think that small things like that , they would fix) come to find out, they hardly ever get work orders completed. when i called to inquire about getting my security deposit one of the staff members told me i need to get the carpet professional cleaned..my reply was "for what , it wasn't done when i moved in and i have pictures to show" she was like dust the ceiling fans once again "why, it wasn't done when i moved in" and she continue to name other things that needed to be done, BUT was not done when i moved in. i was told i could renew my lease when the time came, but when it was time to renew my lease i was told i could not and i basically had about 45 days to find a place to stay. i wasn't renewing my lease b/c of PMI, but b/c it was convenient to me and what i had going in the near future. i had no money saved ( moving out and moving in is very expensive) , and i had not looked for a placed b/c i was assured i could renew. overall PMI is the worst!! I give 0 stars i recommend reading all the reviews before proceeding with PMI we all aren't lying on PMI !

This is by far THE WORST & most sleazy sneakiest
group of "workers" I've ever encountered. They lie
about people stealing your rent money, they will hold
YOU responsible for their errors. They lie about
everything even when you have solid proof to refute
what they claim you're responsible for. They are liars
and honestly the whole company located in
Montgomery, AL Needs to be re-staffed and or totally
ended! The only thing this office truly focuses on is
how to finesse another person out of their money.
Highly recommend to USE ANOTHER AGENCY when
looking to rent or rent out a home!

Electia Love not only actively monitors the reviews for this crooked company, she will also reach out to the author of the review & politely threaten to expose your information or situation to save face for this company IF You do not delete YOUR Opinion about these thieves. Nice try, but Have at it Election Love , wrong is wrong & you guys are WRONG ! She along with the other employees are crooks, unprofessional, liars & very money hungry. Not only did she and her employees lie about an eviction they filed against me, they missed EVERY court date yet still collected money from an accidental OVER PAYMENT & my deposit to the account. Refused to refund me what is owed to me & used every loophole they could find to make matters work on their favor by lying about damages and cleaning when I proved no damages were done & Property was professionally cleaned upon leaving the property. Please, RENT A CARDBOARD BOX BEFORE RENTING THROUGH THESE Greedy Excuses of landlords more like slumlords. Rotten tomatoes, I wish I could leave 0 stars. PS ELECTIA, CALL GOD BEFORE YOU CALL ME AGAIN IM NOT DELETING ANYTHING TO HELP YOU CONDUCT BUSINESS bc MY OPINION “Hurts the face of the company” Do Better , Get better reviews.
