This is one of the worst places to live. Office staff cycles out constantly, they usually hire the worst people they can find or chase off the good ones in a few months. Rent increased $50-$100+ EVERY year for FIVE years. They enter your house with no notice and gaslight you about it even with video evidence. Maintenance is the worst, they will tell you to fix issues yourself (breach of contract) or just never come by. I literally had a hole in my roof and water was running down the side of my master bedroom wall and they took a week just to LOOK at it. If you go to leave this place (pig with makeup), they make up charges to get more money out of you even after they take your WHOLE security deposit for made up issues or issues you reported and they refused to fix. I wish I could give it a negative review.

Twice I've called and left messages. Twice I've emailed. Nobody gets back to you when trying to rent an apartment. I can only imagine the service level when you already rented. Yikes.

I moved here about three months ago. The grounds are kept clean. But I honestly just believe that the appliances need to be upgraded. The vents are dirty and filthy when i moved in and i asked them to be changed I'm guessing they won’t. I have to do it myself. As much money as my rent is, i feel like the apartment should have nicer things. There is rust , im not scrubbing my arm off for something that should have been dealt with before they moved me and my children in.

Well, what to say.................. I lived here in a decent apartment for almost a year. No real issues, everything worked, decent price, and generally quiet. NOTHING to write home about.

FAST FORWARD 2 YEARS................ Today I get a collection notice from a collection agency. Evidently AFTER I moved out, AFTER I went to the office, got a clearing inspection, AFTER confirming all was square and getting my deposit back, they decided I owed $$ for trash collection and a few other fees..... Problem? They NEVER contacted me. Not by phone, not by Email, not by Mail................... I left in June 2022, and they filed with a collection agency in July of 2022............. YEP that is how they roll. Now, it is 2024, they have hurt my credit report, and despite my working to make sure all was well, have created this drama.

I wouldn't recommend this complex to my ENEMY.......... Not because it isn't a cheap and reasonable place to stay, but because of the terrible business practices and office. I HAD a spotless credit report until these jokers................. PP You suck.

AVOID at all COSTS......................

Guess what I just got in the mail? An adjusted bill from when I moved out two years ago.

Seriously?

Not only did I square everything before I left, as I said any review above without calling or contacting me they turned that bill over to a collection agency which I paid to clear up my credit.....

Now they resend an adjusted bill? 26 months AFTER I move out? AND after they sent one to a collection agency and damaged my credit, basically blackmailing me into paying it?

I certainly hope this is not some type of vindictive behavior on behalf of the office staff due to my negative review here. The timing is interesting, I wonder what my lawyer will think.

Yes I will be calling again Monday morning that is if they answer their phone. Every time I call I get the answering machine.

Once again palmetto pointe you show what little class or tact you have.

** In response to PP response to my review. When the collection agency called I told them I wanted to call you and straighten things out. He told me if I didn't pay right then and there I would be considered a refusal to pay. So I was basically blackmailed into paying it.

As you never gave me the courtesy 2 years ago, and just a month after I moved out turns it over to a collection agency, I saw no reason to reach out to you.

I will be calling tomorrow to resolve this permanently.

Perhaps your office practices are outmoded but it is a bit ridiculous.

This review is based off of first impressions and only living here for about a week. Starting off with positives. The area is really nice and it appears to be very quiet which I like. The upkeep of the buildings from the outside and the landscape is nice as well. There is a huge park with tennis courts and a walking trail right behind the apartments. The maintenance crew is very prompt about fixing things but it does seem like the apartments are older so may need some renovations. On move in day this is where I ran into some issues. My apartment wasn’t considered move-in ready in my opinion. There might be an issue with moisture because most of the appliances has rust on them. The fridge, dishwasher, microwave and range hood were filthy. It took some time to get old grease stains off and what appeared to be food residue from these appliances. Additionally, the fridge was having issues getting cold but again maintenance is awesome and are looking into fixing it. In the a/c vents there is a mold issue. I’ve already taken down a few to clean them but definitely will address with maintenance. Most of the drawers are coming apart or either hard to open. Besides having to do an extensive cleaning, the apartment is livable.

Melanie in the office is very friendly and helpful. She responds immediately to emails and is always available to help. The office is newly renovated and always has delicious snacks from the local bakery. The maintenance team responds the same day and is able to fix any issues with my toilets, ceiling fans, air conditioning, etc. The pool is a very nice place to relax when the weather is nice. I enjoy living at the Palmetto Pointe Townhouses and you will too!

I have been a resident for almost a year now. I have zero complaints. Melanie was very helpful when I came to seek out a new place to live. She was very understanding of my unique situation and was supremely helpful in navigating new grounds for me. She continues to be approachable and the staff is very friendly. The maintenance staff works hard and there are almost no delays when it comes to an issue. I have and would recommend this community to anyone looking for a place to live. The convenient location not too far from Shaw AFB is ideal for the military crowd.
