I have been living here for 7 years so far and I have no complaints. No issues, no real gripes other than minor annoyances.

This is my first apartment experience and I know it won't be like owning my own house.
Yes, there are noisy people, but that's people. If I can't control it, I won't worry.

The office and maintenance staff are chill. I always see the maintenance staff working on something around the property and the office staff are kind and well mannered.
Any issues I have had were quickly rectified.

Never had any break-ins, no issues with other neighbors, pool is clean (but I still haven't been in it yet)

I'll be moving out soon due to a work relocation, but I think I'll stick with another Southwood Realty property.

10/10 Highly recommend.Great place to live! Peaceful and very aesthetically pleasing. The Staff is super friendly and will make sure you’re pleased before moving in. The grounds are always clean even the pool! There’s even different food vendors that come out every week! If you’re thinking about it don’t hesitate. Do It! Very happy that I did

Had a great experience here. Maintenance was responsive, the admin team was responsive, it’s conveniently located between Shaw AFB and all the amenities Sumter has to offer. Also, my move out was very easy and they were very patient and accommodating regarding my timeline.

Cannot recommend this apartment complex enough. The front office staff is so helpful, the maintenance team is always on a request for service if not by the end of the day then within 24 hours, and the whole campus was taken care of. The hardest part about leaving Shaw AFB was moving out of these apartments. Highly recommend for military/military families.

Expensive rent but close to AFB. Lived here for a year and loved the pest maintenance as water bugs were pretty common. Pet dropping were an issue by the lake. Lease termination seamless.

Absolutely amazing place to live. The complex is quiet and always clean and neat. All of the front office staff are so nice and friendly! They keep us updated constantly on developing circumstances within the complex and their Facebook page shares community events, which is awesome. I have lived here for almost a year and had no problems. My AC had a broken part and stopped working shortly after I moved in, but the maintenance guys came the next morning after I requested repair and installed a window unit until the part came in. I was so impressed! It is very quiet, there are a lot of single military and very few “loud” kids that I have experienced. A great place to live by yourself or with others.

My husband and I lived here for 5 years, (2 bed 2 bath 3rd floor) I give it a 5 star because of the Management and Maintenance crew. I've lived in many apartments before this one and am currently in an apartment. Piedmont Plantation has always been on point with everything I have requested. The walls are pretty thin but that's not the Manager's fault, its how this place was built, it cannot be helped. Aside from the walls being so thin, I never had an issue with anything else.

Many people have complained about this place but honestly there's much worse out there. The apartment I'm currently in is horrible, absolutely just terrible. I've had a broken Dishwasher for 3 months, broken window and broken closet doors. All I am saying is that although Piedmont may have some issues, other places are far worse. From experience, just be polite and they will make sure you are taken care of.

My husband is Military and he worked in Shaw AFB, we were stationed there for 7 years before we got moved to another state. We have recommended this place several times to Military families and it has worked great for them. It is on the more expensive side but in my opinion it is worth it, the grounds are always well kept as well as the pool. Maintenance team is superb, every time I had to get something repaired they were there same day within 1-3 hours of my call.

It's nice, clean, kept up well, and safe. Walls aren't really thin so you cannot overbearingly hear your neighbors. The rent is a little pricey for the area and they bump it up $20 per month if you renew your lease. Sometimes the front office lacks maturity and professionalism when it comes to dealing with difficult situations. Overall though, it is a pretty good apartment complex to live in.
