I did not have a good experience with Northpointe Bank as it related to obtaining a mortgage. I applied with them over the summer of 2022 to go ahead and be approved. I eventually made an offer on a home in December and when it came time for me to get the mortgage, all of these random requests started coming from the FHA underwriter who ended up being a total b***h. I wanted to cancel the entire transaction and go with another bank but I was too deep in. Also, the day of closing, we were delayed because they didn't have all of the final numbers in. I ended up having to pay more money out of pocket at closing that I had not prepared to pay. They bought my I interest rate down and did not mention it to me at all. My loan officer was C. McGee and I wouldn't recommend him or the bank as of right now. Someone asked me today about recommending a bank and Northpointe wasn't it.

This was absolutely the smoothest process ever!! Everything was perfect from start to finish! Royce Sharp and Candiss Gaines made sure all of my paperwork was processed in a timely fashion, updated me as needed and provided reassurance that our deal would be closed on time. And it was.
