Good hike. great views of river. Small park no emenities. Parking ok. Covered pavilion. Access to river good. Places for fishing. Looks like very large fish in area. Bass and catfish. Lots of turtles and wildlife.

Lived on River Road my whole life almost. And haven't been able to settle in be at peace and relax since I left that area. I muss the country living and tranquility of it. Wld love to move back.❤️❤️❤️

I started fishing and swimming here in the early 80's and continue to go there. Awesome place but unfortunately sometimes it is crowded or has a rowdy crowd.

Love this area but not good for and fishing or water sports. There is raw sewage being pumped into this river by the city of sumiton. And the Tyson chicken plant dumped all that toxic chemical into the river and killed every fish around. So I don't eat fish outta this river anymore. But it's still my home . And nice to just go sit by a fire with some date for the night. Or just go sit and clear your head. It's peaceful almost everywhere on this river and it's home to me .

I have lived near this river for most of my life and I know many who live on the river, most say they would live nowhere else. It is one of Gods beautiful creations and I am blessed to be near it.
