I'm absolutely impressed with Jana, the manager of Garden Green Neighborhood Apartments! She's incredibly responsive and helpful, always going above and beyond to address any issues or concerns. What's even more remarkable is that she's available 24/7, yes, you read that right - even on her days off (weekends!), she's always willing to lend a hand. Her dedication and commitment to her residents are truly exceptional. Made an appointment to view. Left work early and drove in LA traffic to be there on time and when I showed up, there was nobody there. Called the number on the building & called the number on the yelp to no avail. Somebody did eventually answer, and once she realized what it was about, she transferred me to somebody who didn't have a voicemail set up And then refuse to answer the call after I kept calling back. This was all just to view an apartment. I can only imagine how terrible they are as a property management. Thankfully, There was a kind resident who tried to help me, but it said that there wasn't any property manager on site. I asked him about his experience living here and while he said it was safe, He mentioned they never answered. The phone and maintenance is never taken care of as a result. Horrible, horrible business if this is how they treat tenants and POTENTIAL TENANTS.

If I can post a zero, I would. Living at Balboa Court apartments at 16901 Napa St. Northridge CA 91343, the experience has. been horrible. Rude management that is consistently lying, sugar-coating things, making excuses, doing the bare minimum, refusing even to acknowledge, little less address most issues seriously, lacking consideration and professionalism.
In the past month dealing with leaks, possible mold, and code violations as it now appears that the walls in my bathroom do not even touch the floor and they intentionally tried to conceal this with a plastic wall base vinyl molding) and now i'm dealing with a cockroach infestation (which I have had an ear infection since the day of treatment) and is probably persisting due to the bathroom walls and shower not being up to code and/or installed properly.

I have seen a massive amount of cockroaches in the outside pool area and then they want to pretend like it's our fault when we get an infestation in our unit. Currently, there are palm leave branches on the verge of falling and hitting someone in the head... I've seen mice running around in the outside supposed public amenity areas. Overall, this place sucks and if it weren't for the exuberant cost of rent in other places I would have been tried to find another place.

I can only speak on behalf of the property in which I live and my experience (s) when I say that I hope the proper authorities come down on Moss & Co. for purposely neglecting things that are not up to code, flat our violations, and being unwilling to do anything much at all. Then they are rude and make excuses when attempting to address the matters and insinuate that oneself is responsible for things that are due to lack of professionalism and consideration.

I live at a Moss & Company-managed property. As of Wednesday, April 16, 2025, I give the Management Moss & Company ZERO out of 5 stars. Management at the TOP is an EXTREME disappointment; currently I am trying to reach one of their "point of contact" people at Moss & Company, and I get NOTHING but voicemail. I NEVER get a live person. If THINGS do not CHANGE drastically for the better, I will give them ZERO ratings across social media. ALL social media. I would be SHOCKED if I get a reply from Moss & Company here. I pointed something out to my management team on the property, indoors, and unfortunately, they didn't have any good answers. In fact, there was ignorance. I would be SHOCKED if I get a reply from Moss & Company here. Moss & Company are ALARMINGLY incompetent. ZERO out of 5 stars. I will be absolutely SHOCKED if I get a reply.

I moved into Dickens Gardens about a month ago, and since I'm finally unpacked, I figured I should write a review. Bridget, the property manager, has been a dream to work with. She was very helpful, answering all of the questions that I had before moving in. (Note: the website scheduling tool is broken, so don't bother trying to use it. I recommend looking up the apartment you're interested in and calling the number. That's how I got in touch with Bridget, and it was very easy from there to schedule a time to view the apartment.) The apartment itself is great! Lots of space with gated underground parking. Also, you can pay rent and make maintenance requests online, which is very convenient. Speaking of maintenance: when I first moved in there were a couple minor maintenance issues that I wanted to get fixed, and Kevin did an awesome (and quick) job. The complex has a great intercom system where you can make one time use delivery codes for your delivery driver (no more lost or stolen packages! Yay!) And they recently put up wreaths on the front entrance for the holidays, which I thought was such an adorable touch. All in all, I'm very happy to have found this apartment with such a great property manager and maintenance man.

I was denied for a preliminary background check based on a civil suit for $400 that I never even knew existed or that I had a balance. The managers had my number and email, never once said anything about a balance or reached out to clear it up. They apparently filed and pretended they served me to put this on my credit. Like they didn’t even have to pretend to serve me they could’ve just called instead of filing fake suits that I now have to submit a motion to vacate. 0/10 would not recommend

It has been a nightmare for us. We've felt like we were living in a horror movie. They assigned someone to handle our case — someone who, to us, seems only interested in making things harder for us. We don’t feel that they are serious people.
We are the parents of a child with a disability. This is deeply disrespectful. There have been too many problems with them. What a horrible experience.

Edit 2024 - I avoided Moss as one should do, but unfortunately they ended up TAKING OVER the building that I ended up living in. It’s been a complete disaster at Astra.

The community is constantly littered with garbage and feces (the human and pet kind) and it’s only getting worse as they cut costs. Security is non-existent and if you’re not harassed by someone on the streets, then count that as a lucky day. Overflowing trash? Not a priority for them. They’ll let it overflow into the hallways.

I’ve given new management 6 months to address the situation, but they are not willing to make things right. 30k people viewed my positive Astra review over the last year. I’d imagine the same amount will review the newly updated one.

Falsely advertises a property in west adams as available. They do not respond to adverts or calls, but they constantly post on social media. If this is the attention they give to a new property, I can’t imagine how they treat tenants of old properties. Avoid!
