In March of 2020, in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to relocate unexpectedly from my rental home in Mid-coast Maine and found myself taking up temporary residence in a family member’s seasonal home in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. I already was somewhat familiar with the area, having spent time visiting it over the previous several years and fell in love with the area the longer I stayed. I had started to search for a home to buy initially in Maine, but decided to shift my search to the Dartmouth area. My oldest daughter, Sonia, had been accompanying me on this adventure of buying a new home and was as excited as I with the possibilities. My daughter has been my biggest support, for it was a very anxious time for me.
One July day she and I were walking through Padanaram Village and we popped into the Milbury & Company Real Estate office at my daughter’s suggestion. They are conveniently located in the middle of the Village and have a good pulse on the local market. Maggie Tomkiewicz welcomed us, and listened to our inquiry about a “house for Mom” in this area. We made the wise decision to work with Milbury & Company. The very next day Sonia and I received a text message from Margo Choquette, Realtor with Milbury, introducing herself and offering to work with us. She immediately lined up 4 potential homes to visit. Margo “hit the ground running” as the saying goes!
Long story short, it is now February 2, 2021, and I have been in my new home in South Dartmouth since October. I might have been able to find my home with another real estate firm and Realtor, that is true, but I do believe I could not have done any better than working with Margo and Team MCM at Milbury & Company.
Margo is a Realtor who goes above and beyond. She quickly grasped what we were looking for. My situation, being a senior citizen, looking to buy a home again after renting for 15 years, in a new town and during the pandemic, was made easy by Margo’s professionalism, integrity and responsiveness. Her calming attitude was greatly appreciated, and her personable and knowledgeable approach as she helped me and my daughter navigate the competitive real estate market was comforting yet realistic. We were able to put our trust with her to help us find exactly the right fit. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm were genuine when our offer was accepted, and when we closed. Margo and Maggie warmly welcomed me to the community, and still do. Margo continues to remind me she is there if I have any questions. Thanks to her I also have reliable resources to call on for help with my property. She is a great Realtor and advisor. I highly recommend her and her team at Milbury & Company.
**Side note as the daughter commenting on this. I echo my mother’s sentiments 100 percent and have great comfort and confidence knowing that Margo, Maggie and MCM team at Milbury & Company are so accessible.
