Almost bought here. The homes were incredible and well-built. Toured the community numerous times. Really liked the granny flat option. Great architecture great colors.

Several residents we spoke to said they were very happy with the builder!! One person said the builder resolved all their issues.

The swimming pool, gym and community room are spectacular. A really well-thought out design. Cute pickle ball courts...seems popular with residents.

The two roads  leading in and out of the development are really nice. The road by sutters landing has zero traffic and also leads to a dog park. The road that leads to elvas has unique multicolored led lighting. Soooooo close to downtown. Easily bikeable to downtown. Unlike East Sacramento, McKinley village has very little traffic. Really quiet streets.

Our concerns were with the low-budget landscaping. A nice house with crummy landscaping is never never worth the money. The builder planted nice trees on the other side of the sound wall (ie, not visible from inside McKinley village), but nothing that nice in any of the yards. Also was concerned about the close proximity to the freeway. Thought that the air quality would be a factor.

Train tracks were a consideration too. But difficult to tell how noisy they would be. These train tracks are also used by homeless people.

Considered a purchase in MV for some time. Three things that helped me change my mind: prices went up $100,000 since opening, monthly Mello Roos fees and a concern of environmental quality, due to proximity of freeway and 57 trains passing by every day.

No rafts come with these homes when it floods. Plus, the train noise is so unreal. And it's a HOA!! Trains, floods, HOA...yikes!!
