Roads! Worst ever! Love the town! Hate the roads! Love joy realty has built a lot of neighborhoods in the area. When they finish a neighborhood, they don't add a final pavement topping. The roads are about 1.5" thick. So they constantly break into pieces with more and more travel. I have lived here for 10 years. In magnolia lakes and have had 2 bent wheels due to potholes. This is absurd! The entire city of Margaret (residents) need to petition the city for better roads. I don't care if they need to raise taxes 1% or ask for a federal grant or? But something needs to be done!

The city of Margaret does a fantastic job. The police department does not go out writing tickets for no reason. If you get a ticket here, you deserve it. The fire department does a fantastic job. The water department does what ever it takes to make sure that the citizens have good clean tasty water. If they have a leak, they are dedicated to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Many people are complaining about the roads, but the problem is the roads are mostly owned by the county and the city can’t just take them over. Take the road complaints to St. Clair County.

Police give you tickets for just to give them to you, when you aren't doing anything wrong. I've been to court three times and had my ticket dismissed three times. They know you will either pay the fine or you'll pay court costs so they win no matter what. The most corrupt law enforcement I've ever seen and i moved out here from Birmingham. I was giving a no insurance ticket once, the officer admitted that he pulled it up on his computer of me having insurance but since i didn't have my card it was a fine. I was pulled over for texting and driving that day but the funny thing is I left my cell at home and had turned around and was on my way back to get it. I also been pulled over leaving the dew drop bar and was told i failed the field sobriety text, but then he gave me a breathalyzer and he look as if someone kicked his dog, Seeing is how i don't drink but was at the bar socializing, so he wrote me a ticket for something else that i wasn't even doing so he could justify pulling me over. The town people are friendly but businesses will never flourish there because people dont want to go there because of police harassment and getting false tickets and or arrests. I would like to know if there is someone or organization that could hold them accountable for their misconduct and not upholding the law in which is their duty.

The roads are friggin awful. There are alot of new subdivisions going up but no new businesses or public areas so why arent they fixing the roads. Pretty soon the only ppl that will move there are off road enthusiasts.
