Ive been here for a year, this was our first apartment and so far its been awesome. I love how friendly and welcoming the staff are!! Maintenance is very helpful and easy to talk to about issues. Very animal friendly neighborhood and very quiet.

Cons: during holidays 2 men like to scout the parking lot looking for unlocked cars and they only steal cash but they tear through your things.
Also, every year the rent goes up for no reason.

The pricing was good the first lease when the military discount was accepted but then the company was switched over to different rates and no discount. The living here is very outdated but the gas stove was nice. But this review is just a post about how I didn't receive my security deposit at the end. Out of respect for the land lady I didn't have any problem with her, and I enjoyed the overall experience.

Not a great place to live, but not the worst. Was one of the cheaper options when I was looking for my first place to live on my own. Maintenance and property management staff were great and super professional, never had any issues with them. The main issue I had wasn't even the age or the size of the apartments, you get what you pay for and I wasn't expecting the Bellagio or anything. My main issue was the inadequate cooling of my apartment. I don't know if it was the cheap insulation of the building, the fact that it was on the second floor, the ancient A/C unit that looked like it hadn't been replaced since the building was built, the large main window that the sun shone directly through most of the day, or a combination of the four. For about 3-4 months during the hottest part of the year my apartment would get up to about 79-80 degrees in the warmest part of the day even with A/C on full blast (with my highest electric bill being $179, for a ~600 sq. ft. 1 bed apartment!). Brought it up to property management, they had maintenance change the filter for me but they said that's just how some of these apartments are and there wasn't a lot they could do. If you move in there I'd recommend trying to get a first floor unit with windows that do not face south. Oh also road noise from 378 was pretty bad so try to get one of the buildings further away from the road. Would have given one star if it wasn't for the friendly and professional people working there, but even still the summers just got pretty unbearable living there.

We lived in the 1 bedroom for 2 years. Cheap compared to other apartments. We had zero issues with maintenance/office ladies until the day came to move out. I went in to turn in my keys about 2 weeks before the end date on our lease. I was told, "we thought you weren't moving out until August.". They go on to explain that I am required to give written 30 days notice IN ADDITION to the end of our lease. And if they didn't rent out the apartment before that 30 days notice was up we would owe another months rent. Upon re-reading our lease the 30 days notice is only if you break the lease, but it doesn't seem like Terry and Jamie know that. They were able to rent our apartment out, so we never had to deal with that. Buy we contacted the housing office that deals with off base housing and we were advised not to pay anything extra. Be warned of this 30 day notice scam if you attempt to move into Magnolia manor. Other than that the only issue we had in the 2 years we were there was not enough space.

Staff are very friendly and they keep the ground so beautifully. The apartments are very small for the rent and things break and fall apart easily. But if you contact them, they will be over quickly. The only thing that bothered me quite a bit but I never reported, because there's nothing they can do.....the floor from the apartment above us was so weak and thin I could hear the man's conversations or even when he yawned, and the squeaking made me afraid the ceiling isn't far from falling through.

Property Managers scam people out of money and do anything they can to ensure that they make whatever money they need.

Have had State Codes violated, and maintenance ignores the 24 hours notice for non emergency repairs and also ignores the courtesy call/telephonic notification of having to come in for a true emergency repair.

Over the weekend I was in my bathtub and didn’t hear The first knock and had to jump out of my tub (23 weeks pregnant, covered in water and soap) and throw a towel over me to get to the door in time. If I hadn’t gotten to the door in time they already had their keys in the lock to let themselves in - again without any notification.

I had a friend living in another unit and maintenance went in without notifying them and also brought their mail inside and messed with the box some.

Housing office has tried to scam me out of money multiple times - they didn’t even tell me that I was over paying my rent for the first 5 months - and refuse to use my deposit (that they’re keeping since I’m breaking my lease to move into housing on base) to take care of the $175 cost to have the floors cleaned. My kept deposit should go to any repairs that need to be done and the cleaning cost to release the apartment but they don’t want to use it for that.

I highly advise military to stay away from this location if it’s your first time on your own. It may be a quick place to move into but it’s not worth the money and hassle and potential for privacy violations.

Thankfully, a call to corporate and speaking to the VP of operations seems to be more helpful than trying to communicate with people here.

Maintenance staff is amazing. But they decided to disobey state code after I had informed them I was moving out and they said I would have to find someone myself to move in yet South Carolina state code says it is up to the property manager and they usually have 5-6 people waiting to get a one bedroom. Terrible property managers.
