RENTERS BE AWARE

I rented from them for two years in Woonsocket. I dealt with mice, rats, ants the entire time I was there. Multiple maintenance requests were placed, and all that was done was mice traps were placed. The entire building was infested with mice and the company refused to pay an exterminator to come bomb the building.

There were holes in the basement foundation with grass and plants growing through. My hot water tank burst and the company didn’t even bother to come out and check the tank or make arrangements to repair it. They told me to send a photo.
They offer a $25 Amazon gift card if you give them a good review after your maintenance request, but they never give you the gift card. They are so cheap, they do minor repairs. I needed a new stove because 3/4 burners didn’t work. They ordered me a used, banged up rusted stove.
The shower leaked into the basement and I put in a maintenance request that was completely ignored. They start emailing you at the end of the previous month to remind you that your rent is due, but they do not want to pay when it comes time to making repairs. I cleaned the entire apartment and they refused to refund my security deposit, claiming I damaged walls, and they charged $250 to “clean the apartment.” I have always received my full security deposit when vacating an apartment and they will not take my call when I try to discuss the refund amount. I’m adding how the apartment looked after I left for reference. This is not a vengeful review I was not evicted, I gave my 30 day notice as well.
Forget about plowing or maintenance, it’s minimal and only when it gets really bad. I’ve come home from work to find my parking space completely plowed in and the company refused to send out a plow truck until I sent them photos of my card parking space covered with snow.
They don’t care about their tenants, only about collecting the rent. They are slumlords and I would never recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment. It’s not worth it. I complained and complained and did maintenance request after maintenance request for someone to come and do a cheap fix and then send you an email asking you to give them a good review.

Most of the locks on the windows were broken, I never received a key for my front door. They are not a good management company and I would rather live in my car then live in a property owned by them.

Lyon is by far the best company around. I met with the real estate agent on their team named Jake and he was great. I am very excited to do business with this company as a tenant. They have a very seamless process!
