I moved into a new construction home six months ago. I have had over 14 ridiculous problems I have had to reach out about. I was dealing with the construction manager directly who started to get angry with me when I would ask for him to fix things that were installed incorrectly. Once I started getting that attitude I started to go through the Meritage portal. I have six cases opened, with only two of them being accepted. The rest have been pending for over a month and a half. It has been a month and a half and I haven’t gotten a call on either of them. my warranty claim for the door frame they installed that is completely broken was rejected with zero explanation. The amount of short cuts they take is unbelievable and they will do everything they can to postpone every warranty claim until your warranty is expired. I’m honestly appalled at how they run their business. The day I moved in I was given a broken stove. They said it would be replaced as soon as possible. It has been six months and I have followed up multiple times and received no responses. My family handles real estate but they had never worked with Meritage. After these experiences, my family all agrees this is the worst company you can give your business to

We met with Rodrigo Fiori, he was the nicest informative guy we met. We didn’t have an appointment, we just walked in to see the community & the model homes. He even apologized that we had to wait, b/c he was with other people. He even took us to to see another floor plan of one of the homes that was not a model. He made you want to buy a home from him. He gave us some much information & also emailed us more information. If your interested in buying a home here be sure to ask for him. We love Meritage homes & will be buying one from them in Florida shortly.
