This week I bought my 2nd car from LaGrange Toyota. In 2022 it was a [used] black Tacoma, and now a brand new Tundra. Have been very happy with both trucks and the few times I dropped off my Tacoma for a scheduled service (oil change, 3rd remote key). I worked with Christian on this latest purchase and was satisfied with the results. He knew all about the models I was considering, the test drive was nice, and I was out of the building much faster than my previous car purchases. Heather in financing is also great.

I picked this dealership because just like everybody else I saw the reviews. Their prices on their new or even certified pre-owned wasn’t bad and a lot say that they were greeted with love. Well I can say I had a mixed experience as well. First off, when I refer or suggest a business anything I provide will be a business I stand behind because of their honesty, loyalty but most of all the integrity. My father researched as well and confirmed it was the right choice. I arrived to the dealership at awe with the fact I haven’t been car shopping in so long and it would not only big a huge impact in my life for the good I also was thinking about how hard it is financially already out here. Look at the price of eggs!! 🤣

I was greeted by a women who I thought I had a connection with because I admired the fact she was a sales women, talked highly about how she loved her position at being able to help folks into the car of their dreams. She SOLD me!. Once we got back to the dealership that’s when I got hit with credit (financing) inquiries I guess because either she really wanted to know about my score to help me or maybe to benefit with another financing sale. Either way I felt a little pressured into giving a “ROUND” about so they could lock me into a price. Expressed I wanted to wait, decided to go home and pray on the step I was getting ready to make. I asked her was she gonna work the next day and she stated she was off but would come in for me. A word that I felt we kept! I told her I would come back just for her. Went home and I was blessed that night to say that I was approved for my own financing at TOP TIER even with just purchasing my first house and went back to the dealership to move forward. I was happy she kept her word which I would too if I knew it was money but it was more like an establishment for me as I’m known for sticking to my family dealership to purchase all my vehicles. They had me feeling a certain way! As soon as I expressed I had my own financing apparently they wanted to inquire more about my interest rate, then my license was taken to do what was necessary and I was swiftly asked to hit the finance room to finish the purchase of my 2025 Toyota RAV4 XLE. As I sat in the room with the gentlemen I was hesitant on getting any packages because I knew my car note whether low interest rate or not would still be high and I don’t like to commit to something that I might not can fulfill. While talking to my father he starts biting his nails and he seemed like he was getting antsy. I get my boys who are 16 and 14 standing at 6 feet and the other 6’1 but you shouldn’t be letting off an uncomfortable energy. As I collect my decision, I asked him was he okay because he seemed off and he makes a comment about how unsettling it was for my sons to be standing up seeming like they were anxious and that he was fine. I choose my package which I appreciated him looking out for me but towards the end I asked the woman would my father get a referral check for his assistance in all of this and it was stated YES!! I provided her my father’s name, address and phone number and thanked everyone for atleast helping me get into my first brand new vehicle. I left and as I’m almost home I realized I didn’t have my license. Well, I tried calling the woman who got her money with no answer having to call the dealership number to find out I had to drive back another 45 minutes after I just left there for my license.

The MORAL to this review is that I’m a business owner and there were a lot of things that turn me away and disappointed me about the experience. I felt JUDGED! For this to be my first time I never felt like I was looked at for a sale or out of fear. I felt RUSHED most importantly I fell LIED too. No one has sent the check and I’ve reached out several ways with no response. So here’s my review you begged me for. I have taken the Lagrange off my car because I will NOT suggest a place that is about money and can’t keep the word. Hopefully that person will do as they promised a month ago. Be blessed!

I recently bought a preowned truck from Lagrange Toyota, and it was an absolute breeze! My wife found the truck on their website, and when I saw it in person, the pictures were spot-on, giving me a great idea of its condition. Kenny Crawford was an awesome salesman, showing me all the features and explaining the benefits of a hybrid vehicle. The finance department was super friendly and didn’t try to push any unnecessary add-ons. My experience purchasing a car from Toyota of Lagrange was the best experience I have ever had. Kenny Crawford was my salesman and he made me feel good about the whole process.
