We did a complete remodel of our beach house, from the foundation up. We interviewed a few general contractors who have done multiple projects in the area, and were very glad we worked with John Fuchs. They had three strengths that really differentiated themselves from others:

A) Flexibility in adapting to changes along the way. Invariably with large remodels, there are design changes. John's mindset was always "how we get this done", not "we can't do it because it's out of scope".

B) Thoroughly detailed knowledge of every aspect of a house remodel. No matter how nuanced the initiative was, John knew what needed to be done and how to do it.

C) Exceptional support throughout the 1.5 year project. We met weekly to review our progress. He and his team responded quickly when we had questions, and were willing to meet on site when we were available.

My wife and I were very fortunate to work with John Fuchs for the complete remodel of our two-story Aptos home. John, Carrey, Luke, Scott, and Kirk are true professionals dedicated to delivering the highest quality work, resulting in outstanding results that we love.

Our project involved a comprehensive remodel, taking the house down to the studs, enlarging the structure which required foundation work, installing new plumbing and electrical systems, and renovating bathrooms and kitchens. We also replaced two second-floor decks and upgraded the exterior from wood siding to stucco.

From start to finish, John and Carrey Ward were highly engaged in every aspect and decision of our eight-month remodel. John's extensive experience in every phase of the project provided us with valuable insights, helping us make better decisions throughout the process.

Carrey excellently managed the project, coordinating various subcontractors (electrical, stucco, drywall, plumbing) with minimal delays and ensuring materials were ordered and delivered on time. While the subcontractors employed by John were generally excellent, we did encounter issues with the plumber assigned to our project. However, John promptly addressed this and had the plumbing company correct any issues to our complete satisfaction.

While John might not be the cheapest option, you get what you pay for—a true "A team" dedicated to doing the best work to your complete satisfaction.

In conclusion, we highly recommend John Fuchs Properties: Construction + Real Estate for both new construction and remodeling projects. John and his team take pride in their work, are easy to work with, and are committed to the highest quality standards. They won't consider the job done until you are completely happy with the outcome.

John Fuchs and his construction team(JFC) did an outstanding job on our whole house remodel. During the 9 month process we encountered several structural problems that needed to be addressed, JFC always came with solutions and options on how to proceed with our project.
