TLDR: There are so many ups and downs when making your first home purchase! You cannot go wrong with Jennifer and her team!!!! 10/10 would recommend!

To be honest, I didn’t think I’d be able to write a review like this! We were thinking about our future home plans right before the pandemic hit and before we knew it, the area we lived in became an even larger magnet for home buyers. Prices doubled, even tripled in some instances, and we were getting more and more defeated as every house that got listed was gone the next day.

After riding out these last few years, we decided that it was time to bite the bullet and put some equity into ourselves rather than our corporate rental overlords, even though things still hadn’t returned to normal.

We had originally started our home buying process with a local Credit Union. This was an attempt to avoid having to pay PMI for a 3.5% down payment as a first-time home buyer, but when it came to sign a realtor agreement through the Credit Union, we had to IMMEDIATELY reconsider as the realtor expected us to pay a 20% commission!!!

We were recommended to Rate by my parents as they had done a lot of research prior to selecting a lender to partner with and had an extremely pleasant experience with the Rate team for their VA loan. We did not hesitate and scheduled a consultation as quickly as possible. From our first call, I knew we were going to be in good hands!

During our experience, the Rate team (Jennifer, Linda, Chadwick, CJ, Krissy, and the rest of team) was there to keep us as sane as possible. No matter how many questions we had, they were ALWAYS available!

Linda was crucial to our sanity as there were some unforeseen circumstances that came into play during this process (primarily the appraisal for a new build) but she was there to help crunch the numbers to make sure we had as much insight as possible prior to close to know what to expect. Cannot express how grateful we are for Linda!!!

Our underwriting team was also extremely helpful to provide as much visibility as possible into what was required of us to close. Whenever we had questions they were quick to respond! They were instrumental in ensuring we were able to have everything ready to close earlier than anticipated.

All in all, we had an outstanding experience and highly recommend working with Jennifer and her amazing team!

First time home buyers here. Jennifer Beeston has been a staple in our home for the past few years, I’ve watched many of her videos in preparation for buying our first home. I reached out to her last fall and explained what we wanted to do, she answered every question we had and helped us begin the journey. The application was relatively easy, just needed a lot of our legal documents and it took a few weeks to get fully underwritten. They were prompt at keeping us updated and the online website was fantastic for uploading any additional documents as we went through the process. Once we were underwritten, we started looking at homes, found an amazing realtor and made an offer within the week. The entire team were extremely quick in response time, kept us updated multiple times per day and made our loan close in two weeks even though we closed right after Christmas. So with all the holidays, any bumps in the road, questions and stress….they came through for us. I cannot recommend them enough, absolutely seamless loan and home buying process.
