Joan Shorter presented herself as innocent, honest and sweet. However, her confirmed deceit appears intentional now that we've spoken to several other realtors and local neighbors. A new access road is being built around the neighborhood where we sought to purchase. We explained our issue with busy roads before she suggested this area. Why do we need to say that we have a service dog because of our special needs child? Why would she direct us here and dump us off on Patty?
Praise God we drove around on our own; checked with the Chamber of Commerce; and reached out to a trustworthy agent. This could have been a disaster, but she Joan called it an "opportunity." And Patty cosigned.
If Joan and Patty were unaware that a web of new streets were being built through and around this neighborhood, then they are subpart brokers. Trust is EVERYTHING!

Exactly! The confession. You don't know who we are or what we do in our business. Yet, you provided a REVIEW here based on a blind expectation of what you believe we are advertising. We never said that we are "licensed real estate" anything. We have not provided you or anyone you know with real estate services. You consult with your attorney and we consult with ours.

Once you delete your review from our page, we will do the same. We offer this although you don't deserve it. We sent our staff to you and they advised of your poor character and watered down knowledge. We, simply, declined to work with you and joined a righteous and transparent team. Yet, here we are.

Intown Focus Realty is very immature and deceitful. Intown Focus Realty lacks integrity for house hunters. This was proven when Mrs. Shorter became upset that her potential client presented findings from research (facts). Not just a difference of opinions. Obsession with controlling "ignorant" house hunters. We suspect they are probably running a similar gambit on their sellers.

BEWARE and be wise by knowing this:
1) The Tax Assessors' records are public in Georgia, so verify the most recently assessed value of the houses before you buy. This may affect your ability to refinance if you pay too much above FMV (fair market value) for a home. And the interest rates are too high to become stuck in such a financial hole.
2) The Planning and Zoning departments provide public records of permits and can advise if legal changes were made to the home you want to buy. This is important because when you buy the house, you acquire all liability. If you are a new investor and your tenant falls through the floor or has a beam fall on top of them; you assume ALL of the risks. There are a lot of shady contractors and corner-cutters out here right now.

Mrs. Shorter doesn't care about the client as much as she perpetrates. She only cares that she gets paid. We tried to get her paid, too; but not at the expense of all risks. However, Mrs. Shorter took our preferred wish list personal and started a vendetta by placing a poor review on our unaffiliated business website. We were searching for a personal home, so our business had nothing to do with this transaction. The personal house hunt was only supposed to be the start or multiple deals to come.

We thought we severed our relationship professionally by verbalizing our refusal and disagreement with her contract and THIS is the type of person she showed herself to be. I'm glad we went with our gut.
