I’ll begin by stating that this rating would be 10 stars out of 5 if it were an option, as our experience with Lindsay, Brandon, and Ink Properties was and continues to be outstanding. Allow me to preface this review by saying that our move was based around our love for cycling, and Lindsay is incredibly knowledgable in that area. But there is absolutely no doubt that whatever your reason for moving to Upstate SC you will receive top-notch customer service and attention to detail.

My wife and I are cycling enthusiasts and chose the Greenville SC area as the destination for our final working years/retirement/dream home. With a cycling-friendly location (location, location) paramount for our needs, I simply googled “cycling realtor Greenville” and was provided with several names, of which Lindsay (Ink Properties) was one. One of my closest friends in the STL area (who is a realtor) conducted interviews of potential candidates for us, and Lindsay quickly rose to the top. After our subsequent discussions with her, we knew that she would be a perfect fit.

Not knowing the area or exactly what we wanted (existing home, land to build, mtn view, lake view, etc,) coupled with some high demands for our dream home, we presented Lindsay with difficult task of interpreting our needs and finding appropriate properties. The fact that we had to work 100% remotely with her in the beginning didn’t make the process any easier from her end.

Undeterred, Lindsay dug in and began sending us a variety of listings of both homes and property that she thought would be of interest. She conducted home and property tours which we attended either real time via FaceTime or via video tour after the fact. She shared with us the local cycling routes that would pass near a property and whether she herself frequented that route, knew of others who did, or if she deemed it a safe place to ride. After several months of this, we were finally able to visit SC in person and see the area and options for ourselves.

For our visit, Lindsay had a number of house and land visits lined up, as you would expect from a realtor. However her intimate knowledge of the area both close to Greenville and out to areas like Greer and Travelers Rest (and beyond) was extensive. We received a thoughtful (and fun!) welcome basket, and perhaps the best part of the visit was getting the chance to tour the area with her and Brandon on the bikes that they provided! We made it up to the Hincapie Fondo start/finish at Hotel Domestique and enjoyed the festivities for a bit - it was great to see some of that event even though we did not have time to fully participate.

The last property we looked at was a lot that we instantly fell in love with (size, views, neighborhood) that was initially outside of our price range for land. However Lindsay’s intuition and knowledge of what we really wanted led her to show it to us. In the end, we were able to narrow our choice down to 2 property locations (Tigerville / Marietta) on which we would build. We were very much split on which way to go based upon location, lot size, views, affordability, and I don’t think we could have made a bad decision. We met with Lindsay and Brandon later that evening over some IPAs at the Piney Mtn bike shop and thoroughly reviewed all of the options/pros/cons of each property. They were both so helpful in offering their insights on levels that were equally objective but also took into consideration the emotional aspect of such a huge decision. We met again early the next morning prior to our departure and toured both lots, and in the end chose the land that really spoke to us in the Marietta area.

When we flew back into town for the closing, Lindsay picked us up at the airport and shuttled us to our new property for a walk with the builder and then to the law office for all the paperwork details. She was with us every step of the way then, and continues to be even now as we navigate design and decorative choices for our new home! We couldn’t be more thankful to Ink Properties!
