Working with Sam has been a pleasure. HomeRate Mortgage is lucky to have someone that is dedicated into taking care of the customers needs. I was having a problem with one of my accounts and Sam would not give up until she new it was taken care of. Everytime I would call and ask Sam for an update she would get on the phone and give me an update. Thank you Sam again for taking care of our loan . If you use HomeRate Mortgage rest assured if Sam has anything to do with your loan they will take care of you.

I gave them one star because it is not possible to give negative stars. Dealing with HomeRate Mortgage has been nothing but horrible, frustrating, and a waste of my time. They can't seem to get their papers in order in a timely fashion, they appear to lack the ability to communicate effectively with the appraiser they use, they don't communicate with their customers about problems with closing dates or how the file is progressing, and they caused me to waste days of my time while they endeavored to get their things together. After we appeared to be closed, I just heard today (from the closing agent and not from HomeRate Mortgage themselves - because they appear to lack the ability to communicate with customers) that they think they need to close again, despite me having a signed note. I have bought and sold multiple house and I have never experienced anything like my fiasco with HomeRate Mortgage. These people lack competence and any respect for their customers or their customers.

Eleven months after my horrible experience with HomeRate Mortgage, my review finally received a response. The fact that it took eleven months for you to respond to my review truly illustrates my point about your lack of concern for your customers and, in my opinion, your utter lack of competence and professionalism. My issues with HomeRate were completely explained in my discussion with an attorney in your general counsel's office last year. I suggest that you review my file, including the notes from my discussion with your attorney. That should adequately inform you of your failings. If you truly wish to remedy your failings, you will find my contact information in your file. If you do not truly wish to remedy your failings, then please do not wait almost a year and then post a patronizing response to my review.
