This is a lovely home and garden that only ‘recently’ opened to the public (20 years ago 😜). The house is as it was lived in just a few decades ago and the grounds are well-maintained. I dropped a star due to the rule of no photos inside. The houses I like most allow a self guided option. Hopefully this one will follow suit as so many others have.

What an awesome place to visit. The staff were so very welcoming and knowledgeable. To begin the tour there was a short movie explaining the history of the Callaway family and the Hills & Dales Estate. The visitor center is a beautiful building with displays and history info. The tour guide who took on a 90 minute tour through the house did an excellent job of pointing out special features of the home. We could sense the love that had been put into this home for years. The gardens were also full of love and such a relaxing, beautiful place. You can purchase a ticket to just tour the gardens and if ever in the area again, we would consider doing that because it is so relaxing and beautiful. Thank you to all the staff at the Estate.

A must see if you are anywhere near Lagrange, GA. This estate is absolutely beautiful! A lot of great history. The home is very well kept. SueEllen was a wonderful tour guide. A lot of beautiful flowers and greenery on the grounds and in the green house.

Beautiful estate!! the tour was wonderful definitely worth it. Definitely take time to walk around the gardens, and don’t forget the greenhouse either!! They also have many places that are perfect for a picnic. If you fancy a scenic trail then you’re in the right place. All around a day well spent.

We love visiting this estate! Everyone here is so extra nice and thoughtful. We recently booked a private photo session and it was perfect - Carlton let us in and turned the fountain on and unlocked the greenhouse for our photos. Perfect place for a photo shoot with so many photo ops!
We also enjoy just visiting, the story and history of the estate is interesting, the gardens are beautiful, and of course the house is gorgeous!

What a wonderful place to visit. The video telling the history and then the guided tour of the house were awesome. So much detail, love and history here. So very beautiful.

Well worth the admission cost can not wait to come back in the spring/ summer and spend more time in the garden.

They have a ride from the visitor center to the house but it was a nice walk back.
