On 9/14/24 my husband and I had our wedding here. It was truly the best venue we could have chosen! It was like home away from home ! We were able to stay the weekend and our friends and family got to stay in the cabins and in the farm house. Every single person raved about how well kept the property was, how welcoming the house was, and how adorable the cabins were. The house and the cabins were spotless !! Michele was wonderful to deal with and was always there for us when we had any questions ! We got married under the big tree in the front and the pictures came out gorgeous !! We could not have asked for a better wedding !! We will always have so many great memories of this day !

If you're looking for a quaint and cozy spot for a New England getaway, look no further. Hathaway Cottages is absolutely adorable!! We had a large party and rented the whole place out and it was wonderful. The property is stunning, the farm house is beautiful and the cottages are so cute (and the beds are insanely comfortable). There's a gorgeous English garden, a great pool and a fire pit. Everything is very well maintained and very clean. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely go again.

Our recent corporate retreat here was amazing! With several stand alone cottages and a large farmhouse, they were able to accommodate our whole staff. The beds were very comfortable, and the service was exceptional. The hosts provided us with everything we asked for in terms of food and drink--and more! They were also helpful in not only suggesting, but in arranging outings in the area. The pool was an added bonus. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Just returned from four nights in cottage #4 - It is my second season coming to Hathaway and my 4th visit. |The pet friendly cottage was the perfect size for me and my dog. It was clean, fresh and tastefully decorated with full bath, comfortable large 4 post bed, Television, AC , a couch, coffee table two stools and a small counter. Outside is a window box with flowers overflowing from it and two solid white wood Adirondack chairs to relax in . There are picnic tables set up on the lush lawn, a gas grill for every cottage and a swimming pool surrounded by purple flowering hydrangea shrubs. The whole place is beautifully maintained in old New England style as is the original 19th Century Colonial main house impeccably renovated by David and Laura, the owners. |David and Laura are so welcoming and kind and the whole place so lovely that I feel instantly at peace when I arrive there. |I promised myself the first summer I stayed at Hathaway House that I would return every summer for as long as I was able to. After this summer, I feel no less resolved.

We visited in late May, staying in pet friendly cottage #1. Hathaway’s has been under new ownership since early this year and has undergone recent renovations/upgrades. We were given a warm welcome by Michelle, one of the owners. The cottages are scattered among the wooded, multi-acre property and are set back from Old Post Road. A quiet setting, nicely landscaped, with plenty of space between the fully furnished cottages.||Everything in our unit was clean and appeared fairly new: kitchen appliances, furnishings, and bathroom fixtures. Nicer than we expected for pet-friendly. Will definitely return!

We stayed in the quaint cottage #8. Three of us surprised our friend with a Bachelorette night stay. We were greeted by the owners, Laurie and Dave. They are a charming couple offering us anything we needed. Their gardens are gorgeous, the pool area was beautiful and the cottage was impeccable. We went for a fabulous dinner at the close by Matunuck Oyster Bar. We went back to the cottage, went for a swim and sat out on the adirondack chairs. It was the perfect place for our overnight getaway! I can't wait to go back.

I am not one to write reviews often, but Hathaway's is truly a hidden gem. Laura and Dave deserve all of the praise for their warm hospitality, peaceful environment, and beautiful, impeccably clean cottages. We are getting married here next year but loved it so much we went for an anniversary and weekend trip this year. The grounds are gorgeous, and it's so nice to have the swimming pool, as well as coffee in the mornings. I would highly recommend Hathaway's to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway close to the seashore.

Glad we stayed there|||| Our cottage was a good value and located close to outdoor attractions, including national wildlife refuges. Newport Mansions were within a reasonable 45 minutes drive. It’s probably the best choice in the area but did take some getting used to. Floor space and closet space were limited, but we were able to adjust. The room was clean and newly renovated. The queen bed was somewhat soft but okay. One side was right next to a window and wall, making getting out of bed from that side awkward. Outside light readily came through the curtain at night, so our sleep masks came in handy. We did sleep well, and it was quiet. Our #8 cottage had a good screened door.||||Some nights and early morning were cold, but the portable space heater in the room worked well. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, but there were no table or chairs. However, a long coffee table in front of a sofa worked fine for having our own breakfast of cereal and fruit in the room. ||||The TV worked well. It was nice to have a TV on at normal volume without being concerned about disturbing neighbors in an adjacent hotel room. The owners were genial and helpful. We intend to stay at Hathaway’s again.
