I’ve rented through Hamlett once and had zero issues. Got my deposit back. No ridiculous pet “fees” ( this was a few years ago so I’m not up to date on the policies now and it’s probably the homeowner doing it ) I’d rent or buy from them again simply because of the stellar service I received initially.

I rented from them for a year and it was one of the easiest management companies I have ever rented from personally. I had a few issues at the beginning of moving in, and they were all taken care of as quickly as they had control over. Very communicative and polite staff as well. While I am no longer a renter, I would give them praise in the future to someone looking at a Hamlett house.

Great property management company and great people to work with. I have used Hamlett for about 11 years for my Huntsville investment property and also have recently used David to sell this property. I can't say enough great things about this company as they are friendly, helpful and got the work done on the property in a timely manner. If i decide to buy back into the Huntsville area I will definitely use Hamlett Property Management.

I have researched almost every rental company in Huntsville. Hamlett Management is in the top 3 without question.

PROS: Family-style business, very friendly, AWESOME VALUE, great locations if you're patient with the market.

NEUTRAL: Repairs took a while, but no longer than I would expect considering factors like weekends, the number of tenants they manage, and the size of the management team. Not an excuse, per se, but patience is always a virtue. They are very, very kind and helpful if treated as human beings.

CONS: If you want fully-digital paperwork, rent payments, and maintenance requests, look elsewhere. Hamlett does everything with paper and ink. I prefer paper and ink, but not everyone does.

Loved my experience with Hamlett, and I hope this helps someone else.

I worked with David Edwards and his crew for the past 12 years. I bought a town house in the Madison area in 2009 and they managed it after I had to move out of the house shortly after buying it for a job change. David and his team kept a steady stream of wonderful tenants going through it. Come Memorial Day 2021, I discharged from the US Navy and my house was waiting for me. A year later I get a new job in yet another state, and I decided to sell it. I used David Edwards as my Seller’s Realtor and he and is team did an AMAZING job selling and closing the house and watching my movers — all this after I myself had moved away! David personally put sweat equity and elbow grease into getting my house to close and he and his team went the extra mile — above and beyond!!

We rented from Hamlett Properties for almost 10 years when we lived in the Huntsville area. Whenever we had a maintenance issue they responded quickly and all serious issues were resolved within a couple of days. They were always helpful and understanding. We moved twice while living in one of their rentals and we always received a full refund of our deposit within 30 days. Their rates are reasonable for the properties that they lease. Most of their staff is very friendly and helpful. One member of their office staff is always a very caustic and not very respectful to the tenants. We usually asked to speak to someone else. They were by far one of the better property management companies that we worked for and if we return to Huntsville, we will look to rent from them again.
