I have called three times to have a male answer the phone asking to help and then lay the phone down. Voices are heard for a minute and then the call is disconnected. I chose options 1 and 6. terrible service and didnt even know what my question was...smh .

Multiple rounds of plan review comments for something new each time. Consistently create busy work for our architects and engineers that only delay plan review approval. 3 months in for more commercial construction. Unfortunate is the kindest word I could use… never desire to work in Gwinnett County again.

I found them very efficient and effective, I have leant quite a bit how the process works. My suggestions is to follow the process. Great team, amazing staff, from phone operators to the inspector as well as fire inspector all were great. It was an amazing experience for me and for my staff. My suggestion is to prepare and prepare well from the beginning.

stop doing virtual inspections. Make your inspectors go back into homes for inspections. This is getting out of hand. You send in the required photos/videos and its never good enough. They are sending us back to homes multiple times to acquire more photos. We send what was requested. Its apparent that your inspector(s) cant handle virtual inspections. I deal with over a hundred different counties and cities in GA and Gwinnett is by far the worst!!

Very little time on Hold. I was transferred to Christine to help me with Zoning questions and she was amazing. She quickly answered my questions about the first lot, but second lot was harder to find since I had only the street name. She went all extra miles she needed to get me the right answer. She did not send me to find any additional info rather asked me for my # and said that she will find the needed info and will call me back. I got a call 15 min. later. with the answer I needed. Thank you so much!!! What a great customer service!

The staff at the Gwinnett County planning and development are awesome, specially “Lars”, he goes above and beyond to resolve your issue.

They would collect a lot more revenue and entice more people to do the right thing by getting licensed and getting permits if they didn't make everything so unnecessarily goshdarn difficult. I would say that these are typical bad attitude DMV type workers but in actuality, the workers over at GA DDS are actually great. Anyway, there's so much red tape and ridiculous policies in this office. To make matters worse their IT system is hosed and misapplies tax payments to the wrong account! Seriously bad. It one thing to not have your act together and its another to not have your act together plus be nasty and difficult.
