DO NOT MOVE HERE. This is the most unprofessional experience I have had with an apartment complex. They are so inconsiderate, rude, and poorly trained. I was told multiple times that me and my roommate would only have to pay $89 upon moving out. So please tell me why they also like to scam people for money trying to charge me $900 for carpet to be replaced when I asked it to be changed when I FIRST MOVED IN A YEAR AGO. Hire vendors that will actually attach correct sized carpet to the floors next time grand highlands! They are not willing to accommodate residents that have been there paying rent faithfully so don't asked sadly they do not care about your problems that are out of your control. I see why the property manager left, Jakerria Carter, this place has gone down downhill drastically ever since she left.

I had a very disappointing experience during my 6-month stay at apartment 3232 in building 11. We had water leaks three times, causing significant inconvenience. The drying process led to high electricity bills, and some of my personal belongings were damaged. Despite this, I was advised to claim the damage on my insurance, which required me to pay the deductible. I left the apartment in a super clean condition, with photos as proof, yet I was still unfairly charged. I strongly recommend avoiding this apartment at all costs

My boyfriend and I were so excited about this place. We were ready to walk in and sign a lease on the day of our tour. We even have a friend living in a townhome here (that I have been in and loved) that said it was great across the board. When we arrived for the tour, the leasing agent was nice and the clubhouse was great which seemed like a promising start. We then drove to see a 3 bedroom unit which the employee informed us was “ready for leasing”. We walked in and were so disappointed. There were dead bugs throughout, a water leak in the ceiling by the front door, and the porch area was covered in branches and debris. I looked up and the water leak and asked “this is ready to move in?” to which he replied, “yes it’s ready to lease today.” Another off putting thing was the leasing agent walked in and stood in the living room and said nothing more to us as we were walking around. He did not elaborate on answers to our questions and did not seem bothered by the state of the apartment. Had the apartment been cleaned and more effort put in by the staff, we would have signed a lease here. Very disappointing 🙁

We moved in Grand Highlands two months ago and I have to say this is one of my favorite places to live. Shanille showed me the floor plan we were most interested in and answered all my questions. The location of Grand Highlands is unbeatable. We are close to everything. I love it is gated and my boyfriend loves the quiet neighborhood. We have met a lot of neighbors walking my dog and the fire pit has been a favorite spot to meet neighbors. I have yet to have a maintenance issue but we see the maintenance guys on property and they are always very nice.
There are 1-2 resident events a month that are a lot of fun and I can tell a lot of work and thought goes into them. If you want a place that feels like home, is well maintained and close to everything please check Grand Highlands out.

If you enjoy having unleashed dogs pee around your apartment, flies buzzing around your door, and a dreadful move-out process, then by all means, go ahead and rent an apartment there. They do have an efficient maintenance team and convenient surroundings, but I am just so frustrated about the move-out charges. I received ZERO notifications regarding move-out charges via phone, email, or the resident portal. Despite regularly checking my portal, I was not informed of the charges, and I had to personally contact the management (within the one-month period). Because of their mistake, they kindly provided an additional month for me to pay. OK. I went to check the portal on the same day and the day after, still nothing there. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT! The account was sent to a debt collector before I was even provided with details on move-out charges and before the original one-month deadline. And staff kindly said "they cannot do anything at this point." Now I HAVE TO contact the debt collector now and then when I just really want to move on. It's terrible to handle the consequences of their mismanagement when I've done nothing wrong.

I lived here for a couple of years. The first year was alright. I liked the area, the gym, the pools.

There was some issues, however. Electrical problems, issues with my refrigerator (it would break down occasionally and they never did replace it, just did temporary repairs), the water would be shut off without notice, people wouldn’t pick up after their dogs, and the smell of cigarette smoke from the neighbors was nauseating (it was so bad that my entire bedroom would reek of smoke). These are things I could l tolerate though.

Oh and the gym was broken into twice. So yeah.. the “gated community” thing is a bit of BS.

The second year, however? Horrible. My downstairs neighbor was constantly having issues, which meant the maintenance men would come in and out of my apartment regularly. I have two cats, so there was a constant fear of one getting out. I was never given notice before they’d arrive. Not a call, text, email. Nothing. The last straw was when a maintenance man arrived at 10pm on a weekday and instructed us to empty out our storage room. It was completely full. We were already in bed when this man arrived.

After that? We decided it was time to go. There’s a serious issue with this complex and giving notice. If you value your privacy? Keep looking.

I called to inquired about leasing here and spoke with the manger, Grace, who was extremely rude and would not offer to work with me on my situation. She kept saying it is policy and I am just doing my job.
