Great location and accessibility to town even on foot. Amenities were clean and in good working order. Lots of showers and washing/ drying machines avail as well. Each site was tidy and plenty of space to settle in. This was our first visit and we are already looking forward to visiting again hopefully for a longer stay to site see more of the area. Ty

RV park is fine but if you are a light sleeper this isn’t the best place to stay. Trains run throughout the day and night and blow their super loud horns every time they come by. This isn’t the campgrounds fault and they have no control over it but it is something to be aware of. The campground was fine and the bathrooms and laundry and showers were super clean and very nice. Loved all the Christmas lights everywhere too. We booked the luxury dome train ride to Grans Canyon and the bus tour of the south rim at the Grand Canyon with the Buffett lunch. I would have never paid the higher price for the luxury dome had I known there really were no views worth seeing out the windows. It’s basically flat land with a few small mountains occasionally and a few pine trees occasionally but other than that it was nothing to see but boring landscape so not worth spending the extra money so a basic train ticket would have been the better choice and saved my money. As for the bus tour it was rushed and you only had two quick stops at two look off points to see the canyon and they weren’t even at the better places to see the Grand Canyon. You don’t get more than 10 to 15 minutes to try and get around the crowds to see it and not really time to take good pictures. It was very disappointing and you don’t go to Mather point like we expected to do. The buffet lunch we got was in a small building that was no more than an open room with a few cafeteria style tables and chairs lined up and the buffet was a joke. You got your choice of some really tough pork slices with pineapple or some dark meat chicken pieces then there was a pasta dish with no meat and it basically was terrible too. Then there was green beans and plain overcooked white rice and cornbread. Desert was small pieces of carrot cake. This was all there was to the buffet lunch and it was horrible. I couldn’t believe they charged extra for this crappy lunch. The whole thing cost us over $500 for 2 people and it was a total waste of money. The train ride wasn’t bad itself but I should have saved the extra money I spent for the luxury some and bought just a coach ticket because there was no views to be seen from the train. Would not recommend this train and tour bus with buffet lunch at all. Save your money and find another tour if you need a ride to Grand Canyon or better yet drive to the Grand Canyon yourself so you have the time to see everything and get the best views.

This is a great location if you’re going to the Grand Canyon. I thought it was pricey for what it is. I was expecting a little more in most regards for what you pay. The spots are fine. Not completely level (not terrible by any means) as they are asphalt, not concrete. The dog walking areas are all rock not sand, not grass. The pull through spot we were in required us to back out of the spot to leave the park which kind of defeats the purpose of a pull through site. Fortunately this isn’t an issue for us, but surely it would be for some. Overall it was fine but not impressive. The customer service was fine, not above bar, not anything standout. Really the only thing that stood out was that it was, by far, the most expensive place we stayed on our journey across the US and not the most spectacular. Williams AZ, however, is worth a stop!

The campground is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The town of Williams was a joy to visit with many quality restaurants to visit. I would definitely return back on future ventures east of California. My wife and I felt very safe in the campground and city.
Our only regret of the campground was the electronic code cards to enter the restrooms and showers. We went through about 12 code cards over a 3 night stay. This frustration was unacceptable, hopefully this issue will be resolved soon for future campers. For that reason I’ll rate our stay a 4 out of 5.

Coming to the Grand Canyon was one of the things that was on my bucket list and not only that I want to see the Grand Canyon. I also wanted to have a comfortable RV park to stay in and this RV park was perfect. It was clean. The sites were big. I love the little dog trail that they have around the park that you can walk your dog on, everything was just nice. We were able to leave our dog at daycare for the day when we went to see the Grand Canyon so everything was perfect. I recommend this RV park and I also recommend going to see the Grand Canyon on the train and then catching the bus.

This is our first stay in Williams. We have been traveling in our RV since July and I must say that this campground was one of the best. And to offer a kennel for your pooch was such a plus for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and took advantage of what was available in the area, including the Grand Canyon Railway trip.

We just purchased first travel trailer and chose to come to the Grand Canyon Railroad RV park. The check in staff was friendly and after our water heater failed, we found out the showers and other facilities were really nice. It was nice stopping by the playground and basketball court to let the kiddos burn off the excess energy. This was our third or fourth trip to the Polar Express but the location can’t be beat.

My wife and I had met my parents here to take the train to the Grand Canyon and take the bus tour. We would love to give five stars but the dog areas are all sharp rocks, the dogs would actually walk on the brick edging to avoid walking on the sharp rocks. My only suggestion would be an actual dirt or grass area for the dogs.
I do highly recommend this R.V. Park and would definitely stay here again.
