If you’re reading this, congratulations, you just found the best mortgage professional in the business in Elise Groves, and her company GTG Financial (and her son Glenn who is also on the GTG team). Before buying our first home recently, my Wife and I had never met or heard of Elise. We had just chosen our realtor, who raved about Elise for not only her incredible expertise, but her fun and easy-going approach to mortgage, something that terrifies most people (I know it did us). We took her advice, and we were immediately at ease with Elise’s advice, demeanor, and overall approach to helping us get in our first home. Elise did all the work, and I do mean all of it. She also presented to us a wide array of mortgage options, and let me tell you, we were lost. Worry not though, when you have Elise on your side! Elise started by making a personalized video for us to watch and discuss in privacy, which outlines the options and the pros/cons of each. Once we had watched and discussed it 100 times, we had countless phone calls and a few in-person meetings with Elise before we ultimately committed to our choice. I kid you not, Elise’s guidance resulted in us with a rate far better than we expected, and a lender credit of almost $20k based on the package we chose, which was thanks to her guidance! Neither of those would have happened without Elise! We also had some complexity with a probate issue related to the purchase, something Elise EASILY navigated and ensured we didn’t need a 3rd party advisor for those issues, Elise knows everything there is to know about financing and helped us tremendously.

Quite frankly though, that’s not even the best reason to choose Elise for your mortgage needs. Elise is a kind and caring person, but also FUN! Be prepared to laugh during the good times of buying a home, be assured during the stressful times, and you can bet she’ll celebrate with you when you finally sign! Most of Elise’s clients also become her friends, and she will be there for you long after you’ve signed your loan papers. I always pictured signing mortgage papers in a wood paneled office, with people in suits hovering over me, waiting until I signed to exhale. When we signed, we were invited to Elise’s home, overlooking that beautiful, resort like backyard to sign and toast champagne (wasn't quite warm enough to sit outside). We all (Elise included) yelled “yay” and clapped as we signed, Elise was truly our biggest supporter and advocate right up the minute we signed to buy our first home. Best of all, she has certainly remained so after we purchased, to answer questions about property taxes, payments, etc.

Now that we’re in our home (and in love with it) I don’t gain anything by leaving this review, but I hope you do. If you’re looking to buy your 10th home, Elise is your gal because she has the experience, connections, and brilliance to facilitate lending for any size transaction, for the most experienced home buyer. OR, if you’re like we were, terrified first-time homeowners who were only pretending to know what the heck was going on, Elise is also your gal, as her kindness, patience and knowledge will keep you at ease through the entire process and beyond. See? There’s a reason I call Elise the best mortgage broker in the business, it’s because she is. I think this picture of me, my Wife and Elise, taken the moment we signed says it all!
